Manchester City v Burnley

Despite experiencing an inconsistent start to the EPL season, Manchester City are still sitting third on the table, just two points off ladder leading Chelsea. Prior to the international break they were engaged in a thrilling 2-2 draw at Anfield against Liverpool, but the champions look primed to do a bit of a job on the battling Burnley at the Etihad. The Clarets struggled to break down Norwich in a stale 0-0 draw in Matchweek 7, and considering they now face one of the hardest away days in the league, it could be a dark old day for the visitors. City have scored 14 goals and conceded just three this season, so they are a dominant force in attack and more than assured in defence. Despite the absence of an out-and-out striker, Manchester City should be simply too good for Burnley in what we expect to be a three- or four-goal thrashing.

Norwich v Brighton

Saturday, October 16 at 3pm BST

The surprise packet of the 2021/22 EPL season has been Brighton, and we expect them to walk away from Carrow Road with the three points. Having lost just the once in seven matches this season while sharing the points with Arsenal and Crystal Palace, this Seagulls line-up is capable of anything. They may struggle to beat the top four, but the +110 available for them to defeat the bottom side is almost too good to be true. Norwich have scored just two goals this season while conceding 16, so it should be quite an easy watch for Brighton fans on Saturday afternoon.

Arsenal v Crystal Palace

Monday, October 18 at 8pm BST

Matchweek 8 concludes when Arsenal and Crystal Palace clash at the Emirates on Monday night, with both teams looking to catapult up the table. While we expect the Gunners to walk away with the three points in front of their home faithful, they will need to work for it against a Palace side who have shown they are more than capable of hitting the scoreboard. Arsenal have won four of their past five matches in all competitions and have confidence on their side, and the likes of Emile Smith-Rowe, Bukayo Saka and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang should do enough to get the job done.
