As we enter Matchweek 14 of the 2022-23 English Premier League season, it looks like a two-horse race for the title between Arsenal and Manchester City. While some other teams could jump into that battle, those two are the clubs to beat at this point. Both Arsenal and City will be in action this weekend, and we have free betting picks for those games and more.

Leicester City vs Manchester City

While Manchester City’s Erling Haaland is stealing all the headlines, their young star Phil Foden is sneakily having an awesome season. He has seven goals in 16 games across all competitions and has firmly established himself as an elite secondary scorer. Foden is a key part to City’s success, and now City have a matchup against one of the worst defenses in the league. Leicester City have conceded 24 goals in 12 matches, and while they have defended better of late, the defending champions should have a field day playing them. Brentford vs Wolverhampton Wanderers

While Brentford are in 11th place, they have lost only one game at Gtech Community Stadium. That match was against top-of-the-table Arsenal, and Wolverhampton are nowhere near that level. Wolves are in the midst of a terrible season, sitting in 19th place with nine points through 12 matches. Also, they have been abysmal away from home, managing just one point in their six matches on the road. That shouldn’t change in this game. At +115, this line is drastically undervaluing Brentford.

Newcastle United vs Aston Villa

A week ago, this would have been a no-brainer Newcastle win. For those who haven’t been paying attention, the Magpies are a very strong side and sit in a top-four spot. Aston Villa, on the other hand, were in the midst of a brutal run of games and were flirting with relegation. However, Villa fired their coach last week and immediately rattled off an impressive 4-0 win against Brentford. We believe that was a fluke and we are not willing to throw out the first 11 games of the season for Villa. Newcastle simply have a better team, and while Villa may have figured something out, the Toon are undefeated at home and they should dispatch their opponent in this spot.

Brighton vs Chelsea

This is a battle between two teams trending in opposite directions. Interestingly enough, it has to do with Graham Potter, the coach who left Brighton for Chelsea about a month ago. Since that point, Brighton have managed only two points from five matches. With Potter at the helm, Chelsea have yet to lose a game in the Premier League and they are playing suffocating defense. While Chelsea are away, they have the advantage in this spot. They have conceded twice in five games, while Brighton have scored only a single goal in their last four Premier League games. Chelsea should continue their run of good form with win on the south coast.

Bournemouth vs Tottenham Hotspur

This pick is simple. Bournemouth have conceded the most goals in the Premier League so far, while Harry Kane has the second-most goals of anyone in the division. He has 10 in 12 games and should add to that tally against a terrible Bournemouth backline. This is as simple a bet gets, and it’s plus money. At +110, this is our favorite bet on the board.

Arsenal vs Nottingham Forest

This matchup could get ugly. League leaders Arsenal have been playing great soccer of late and should cruise to a victory in this battle. The Gunners have been perfect at home to this point and have not dropped any points. It would truly be shocking if that were to change this weekend when they host bottom-of-the-table Nottingham Forest. Arsenal will have to win by two or more goals in order for this bet to hit, but do not let that dissuade you — the home side should dominate from the first whistle.
