The Cottagers are having a surprising season, but they are going to have a tough time at the Etihad. Man City have yet to drop a point at home all season, where they are 5-0-1 against the spread. This is a large spread, but City have proven they are capable of blowing teams out.

Chelsea vs Arsenal

It’s getting to the point in the season where first-placed Arsenal may even be underrated. Everyone is waiting for the Gunners to blow it and they simply haven’t — they keep winning big games. Right now, Arsenal have 31 points through 12 matches, while Chelsea have 21 points in as many games. There is a big gap in performance between these two teams, and while Chelsea are at home, Arsenal can handle them. Arsenal’s strength is their creativity in attack, and Chelsea’s advantage comes in their defensive prowess. We think Arsenal will do enough defensively while breaking down a Chelsea squad that conceded four goals in its last EPL match.

Aston Villa vs Manchester United

Aston Villa have a new coach, and while they are playing better, they are going to have a tough time in this match. Since the appointment of Unai Emery, Villa have won a game 4-0 and have lost another by the same margin. Which team shows up remains to be seen, but if Manchester United play to their potential, it won’t matter. United haven’t lost in five straight Premier League matches and they have too much talent for Villa to handle at this point in the season. Guys like Casemiro and Marcus Rashford have dominated for United recently, and they should make the difference as the Red Devils win this away contest.

Marcus Rashford struggled for playing time last year, but new United coach Erik ten Hag has made him a focal point in attack — and it has paid off. Rashford now has seven goals in 16 games across all competitions and has scored in two straight matches. The odds on the English striker scoring this weekend are far too high considering his recent form and Villa’s terrible defense.

Newcastle United vs Southampton

Speaking of players in form, Miguel Almiron has been a revelation for this surprising Newcastle side. He has seven goals across 13 games in the Premier League this season and is a key part of why Newcastle sit in fourth. Recently, Almiron has found a tremendous run of form, scoring six goals in his last six games. Considering the way he has been playing, the +300 odds for the Paraguayan to score against Southampton this weekend are too good to ignore.

Tottenham Hotspur vs Liverpool

The moneyline in this matchup is paying way too much respect to Liverpool. It’s time to admit this isn’t the same Liverpool team of recent years. While they still have a bunch of notable players, the Reds are in ninth place with 16 points through 12 matches. They are coming off of back-to-back league losses to Leeds United and Nottingham Forest, and now they will play away at Tottenham. While Spurs haven’t been great in recent EPL matches, they have been far more consistent than Liverpool. It may feel silly to count out Jurgen Klopp’s men, but they haven’t given anyone a reason to trust them this season.
