Leg 1 – Liverpool vs Watford

Saturday, December 14 – 12:30pm GMT – Anfield, Liverpool

Jurgen Klopp has without doubt learnt his lesson having come so close to winning the league last season. The Reds have been imperious to say the least, amassing 46 points from a possible 48 thus far.

It will be business as usual for Liverpool this weekend despite the managerial change for Watford, who remain at the foot of the table with just one win from their opening 16 Premier League matches.

Prediction: Liverpool to win/over 2.5 goals – -175.44 at Bovada

Leg 2 – Leicester City vs Norwich City

Saturday, December 14 – 3pm GMT – King Power Stadium, Leicester

Leicester City will be hoping to strengthen their title challenge when they play host to Norwich City this weekend. Certainly the surprise package of the season, the Foxes remain Liverpool’s closest chasers and now hold a six-point buffer on third-placed Manchester City.

Having won emphatically against Aston Villa last weekend to collect their eighth successive Premier League win, Leicester look poised to blitz past a Norwich City side who sit second from bottom with 11 defeats from 16 games.

Prediction: Leicester City to win both halves – +175 at Bovada

Leg 3 – Manchester United vs Everton

Sunday, December 15 – 2pm GMT – Old Trafford, Manchester

Manchester United will be hoping to maintain their recently found form when they play host to an equally revitalised Everton side this weekend. A triumphant 2-1 win in the Manchester derby last weekend, coupled with their midweek win over Jose Mourinho’s Tottenham Hotspur, saw the Red Devils climb to fifth on the table on 24 points, five behind Chelsea in fourth.

The Toffees were rooted deep in the bottom half of the table prior to last weekend, but the shock 3-1 win over Chelsea suggests the appointment of caretaker manager Duncan Ferguson has awakened a sleeping giant. Given United’s poor form against lower-ranked teams, these two sides should test each other.

Prediction: Both teams to score – -138.89 at Bovada

Leg 4 – Wolverhampton Wanderers vs Tottenham Hotspur

Sunday, December 15 – 2pm GMT – Molineux Stadium, Wolverhampton

Jose Mourinho registered his first clean sheet since taking over the Spurs job when his side drubbed Burnley 5-0 last weekend. The victory was exactly what the Lilywhites needed after their loss to Manchester United earlier in the week.

Wolverhampton drew 2-2 with Brighton & Hove Albion last weekend to move to sixth in the standings on 24 points, one ahead of Spurs. Wolves have only two clean sheets in their last 12 games in all competitions, which is why both defensive lines should be breached this weekend.

Prediction: Both teams to score – -142.86 at Bovada

Leg 5 – Arsenal vs Manchester City

Sunday, December 15 – 4:30pm GMT – Emirates Stadium, London

Champions Manchester City will be hoping to return to winning ways when they make the trip to London this Sunday. Last weekend’s defeat in the Manchester derby has greatly lessened Pep Guardiola’s chances of winning a third successive Premier League crown, given that City are now 14 points away from leaders Liverpool.

Freddie Ljungberg registered his first win in three attempts as the interim Arsenal head coach when his side beat West Ham United 3-1 on Monday. The Gunners are vulnerable, but so are City. As such, both goalkeepers should have a busy day at the office.

Prediction: Both teams to score – -200 at Bovada
