EPL Matchweek 22 best bets & goalscorer picks – February 3-5

EPL Matchweek 22 betting tips

After a little break, the Premier League will return this weekend and every team will be in action. It looks like a two-team race for the title between Arsenal and Manchester City, and while the Gunners have built a strong lead, no one will ever feel comfortable ruling City out. This race is the main focus for the rest of the season, but considering the European qualification spots up for grabs, the final stretch of this Premier League campaign should be captivating. Here are our free EPL betting picks for Matchweek 22.

Chelsea vs Fulham

This is going to be an interesting derby battle between seventh-placed Fulham and Chelsea, who are sat in 10th place. This season has not gone to plan for the Blues as they simply cannot score. Somehow, a team with this level of attacking talent has only mustered 21 goals in 20 games, and it doesn’t look like this side has any sort of chemistry — especially recently. In their last eight Premier League games, Chelsea have scored five goals. That being said, they have a strong defense and should be able to limit Fulham in this spot. Fulham have been really solid this season, but their strength is their defense and they may struggle to create chances against a stout Chelsea backline. For those reasons, the under is the play in this Friday fixture.

Everton vs Arsenal

Bukayo Saka is a key reason why Arsenal are sat in first place. The 21-year-old winger has become one of the most dangerous players in the Premier League and he is dominating within this Arsenal setup. Also, the Gunners recently lost Gabriel Jesus to injury, so that has put more pressure on Saka to score. And he is delivering. He has three goals in his last five Premier League games and is consistently creating for himself and his teammates. In this battle, Arsenal will play Everton, who have just fired their coach in large part due to their poor defensive performances. Everton have conceded 16 times in their last eight games and it’s very possible Arsenal score four-plus goals on them. Take Saka to score in a game where he should be flush with chances.

Manchester United vs Crystal Palace

Like Saka, Marcus Rashford is a talented winger who is quickly becoming the focal point of his team’s attack. Rashford has five goals in his last six Premier League games, and while he has a lot of talented players around him, it feels like he is Man United’s most dangerous option week in, week out. United have scored multiple goals in each of their last five matches at Old Trafford, and that streak should continue against Crystal Palace this weekend. Take Rashford to score at +130 with Bovada.

Aston Villa vs Leicester City

This is a contest between two teams heading in opposite directions. Aston Villa have 10 points from their last five Premier League contests, and at home they have been especially stout. Leicester, on the other hand, have really been awful in recent games and have one point from their last five EPL matches. Leicester have struggled in away fixtures all season long and this game should be no different. While the Foxes can score, they concede a ton of goals and Villa should take advantage of that. Villa have played a lot better since Leon Bailey returned from injury, and they should easily win this home game.

Brentford vs Southampton

For some reason, Brentford aren’t getting the credit they deserve. In this game, against bottom of the table Southampton, Brentford’s moneyline is far too dismissive of their recent form. The Bees haven’t lost in eight Premier League matches and they’ve been great at home all season. While they may not have the big names of other clubs, Brentford have a bunch of players that know their role and play a consistent brand of soccer. Southampton, on the other hand, cannot figure it out. The Saints are the worst team in the EPL and have one win in their last eight Premier League matches. Take Brentford to win at home in this game as Southampton slide ever closer to relegation.

Tottenham Hotspur vs Manchester City

This is the match of the weekend. In one corner, we have Tottenham, who are in fifth place. In the other, we have Manchester City, who are in second place. And we are going to take City, even if they are away. At this point, Tottenham simply cannot be trusted. Spurs have lost three of their last four home games and have struggled to pile up points in the league. While City haven’t looked like their champion squads of years past, they still have an exceedingly talented team and can beat any side on any day. City comfortably have the most dangerous attack in the Premier League and Spurs haven’t defended well this season. While Tottenham should be able to create, they won’t be able to slow down the likes of Erling Haaland and Kevin De Bruyne, and that will make the difference in this contest.

Manchester City to win
