Watford vs Tottenham Hotspur betting tips

Saturday, January 18 – 12:30pm GMT – Vicarage Road, Watford

A struggling Tottenham Hotspur side blighted by injuries will take on a revitalised Watford in the first piece of Premier League action this weekend.

If history is anything to go by, Nigel Pearson is masterminding another remarkable survival story. The former Leicester City boss has guided the Hornets to victory in four of their five league games over the past month, in stark contrast to the one win the club registered in 10 Premier League games earlier in the season.

Although Spurs are eight points ahead of Watford on the EPL table, Jose Mourinho’s men have won just one of their last five league games.

As such, Watford have a great chance to churn out another win at Vicarage Road this weekend.

Prediction: Watford to win – +220 at BetOnline

Manchester City vs Crystal Palace betting tips

Saturday, January 18 – 3pm GMT – Etihad Stadium, Manchester

An out-of-form Crystal Palace won’t have it easy when they go up against Manchester City at the Etihad this weekend.

Although the champions have all but lost the title to leaders Liverpool, the Citizens are still in their goalscoring groove with 13 strikes in their last three games in all competitions.

Second on the table on 47 points, 14 behind the Reds, Pep Guardiola’s charges look poised to go on another scoring spree against a Crystal Palace side sitting ninth with just one win in their last five league games.

Newcastle United vs Chelsea betting tips

Saturday, January 18 – 5:30pm GMT – St James’ Park, Newcastle

Frank Lampard’s fledglings will be looking to maintain their top-four status when they play away to Newcastle United this weekend.

Despite recently dropping points against Southampton and Brighton & Hove Albion, the Blues are solid enough to ease past the 13th-placed Magpies.

Newcastle have picked up only one point in their last four EPL games and are now in serious danger of sliding into the relegation equation.

Prediction: Chelsea to win – -200 at BetOnline

Burnley vs Leicester City betting tips

Sunday, January 19 – 2pm GMT – Turf Moor, Burnley

Leicester City will be looking to return to winning ways when they make the trip to Turf Moor this Sunday.

Having suffered a shocking home defeat against Southampton last weekend, the Foxes slipped to third in the EPL standings while falling 16 points behind Liverpool.

Nevertheless, Leicester should have no problems cruising past Sean Dyche’s relegation-threatened Clarets, who are winless in their last five Premier League games.

Prediction: Leicester to win – -117.65 at BetOnline

Liverpool vs Manchester United betting tips

Sunday, January 19 – 4:30pm GMT – Anfield, Liverpool

Plenty will be at stake when Liverpool welcome arch-rivals Manchester United to Anfield this weekend, with the Reds looking to widen their lead atop the table.

Jurgen Klopp’s men hold a 14-point advantage over second-placed Manchester City, whereas United sit a further 13 points back of the leaders and five points adrift of fourth-placed Chelsea in the hunt for a Champions League spot.

Although the Reds are yet to suffer defeat in the league this season, they came dangerously close last October at Old Trafford when they were saved only by a late Adam Lallana equaliser.

Given the passionate and intense nature of the rivalry between these giants of the North West, both sides have a good chance of getting on the score sheet this weekend.

Prediction: Both teams to score – -125 at BetOnline
