EPL midweek picks, value bets & goalscorer tips – March 1, 2023

After a busy weekend slate, the Premier League will return this Wednesday with two interesting games featuring the likes of Arsenal and Liverpool. Here are our top EPL betting picks for March 1.

Arsenal vs Everton

While these teams are at opposite ends of the table, this game could actually be pretty fun. Having fired Frank Lampard last month, Everton have won two of their four games since appointing Sean Dyche as manager. A big part of that recent success has been their defensive prowess, keeping two clean sheets in that span. That being said, Everton still can’t score and they only have two goals in those matches. As a result, the under is the play. All season long, Arsenal have been great defensively, and at home they have been especially stout. Take the under in a game where each team is expected to play a very structured, risk-free brand of soccer.

Arsenal anytime goalscorer: Bukayo Saka

While we lean towards the under in this game, we will continue to take the Gunners’ main man to score. Bukayo Saka has been a revelation on the Arsenal wing in recent game, emerging as one of the best players in the league — even at 21 years old. Saka has five goals in his last 10 Premier League matches but is consistently finding good scoring opportunities. It may be hard to break through against Everton, but Saka has the talent to produce one moment of brilliance. At +190 with Bovada, this is a great value bet.

Liverpool vs Wolverhampton Wanderers

Liverpool have been ridiculously inconsistent all season, but at home they have been solid. They have seven wins through 11 games at Anfield, and that record has kept them in some kind of contention for European qualification. Although they aren’t the most trustworthy team, they should be able to beat an inferior Wolves side. Liverpool have nine wins from their last 10 games against Wolves, and although that one loss was the last time they played, the Reds have been in better form recently. Liverpool haven’t lost in three games and should continue that form in this spot. For this bet to hit, Liverpool need to win by two goals, and they are certainly capable of doing that at Anfield.
