French Open Day 10 betting picks & top odds – Tuesday, June 8

Roland Garros tennis odds

The 2021 French Open enters the quarter-final stages on Day 10 as the potential overall winners become more and more clearer with each set.

Following the withdrawal of 2009 French Open champion Roger Federer, the online bookmakers have it narrowed down to Rafael Nadal (-149.25, Novak Djokovic (+350) and Stefanos Tsitsipas (+450) in the outright betting for the men’s singles draw.

Three-time French Open champion Serena Williams suffered a shock fourth-round exit and has left the women’s draw wide open, with reigning champion and eighth seed Iga Swiatek now a -120.48 favourite to take out consecutive Roland Garros titles.

(#5) Stefanos Tsitsipas (-263.16) vs (#2) Danill Medvedev (+191)

This is clearly the pick of the action on Day 10 as Daniil Medvedev looks to replicate his straight-sets win over Stefanos Tsitsipas in the 2021 Australian Open semi-finals. The Russian has won four of their past five meetings, including their matchup on the Monte Carlo clay surface in April 2019. Both of these two have dropped just the one set in this year’s French Open. Despite Medvedev being the outsider in French Open betting markets, we think he will be the one progressing to the semis.

(#6) Alexander Zverev (-714.29) vs Alejandro Davidovich Fokina (+450)

No.6 seed Alexander Zverev gets to his third French Open quarter-final in the last four years, whilst Alejandro Davidovich Fokina is in the last eight at a grand slam for the first time. Following a first-round scare when winning in five sets, Zverev has been all but flawless since, while Fokina has had himself in two five-set encounters and a fourth-round four setter. Zverev will be the fresher of the two heading into Tuesday’s match, and we expect the German to get through to his first ever French Open semi-final with a straight-sets victory.

(#21) Elena Rybakina (-138.89) vs (#31) Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova (+110)

Elena Rybakina and Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova have been the two giant-killers in this year’s French Open, and they are set to clash for a spot in the semi-finals. Rybakina is coming off a straight-sets victory over Serena Williams and heads into her quarter-final match as a slight favourite over her more experienced rival. However, Pavlyuchenkova’s form at Roland Garros suggests the market has got this wrong. Coming off two three-set thrillers against Victoria Azarenka and Aryna Sabalenka, the Russian looks well-placed to get into her first grand slam semi-final after being unsuccessful in six quarter-finals in previous years.

Tamara Zidansek (+218) vs (#33) Paula Badosa (-294.12)

In what looks to be one of the tightest contests on the first day of quarter-final matchups, we are hoping the form of Spain’s Paula Badosa gets her into the semis. Coming into the French Open as the Belgrade champion, she was always going to prove to hard to beat at Roland Garros, and despite Tamara Zidansek’s career-best run, we expect Badosa to be booking her spot in the final four in this battle of the youngsters.

French Open multi bet: 4 legs @ $16.78

We like both Medvedev and Pavlyuchenkova to cause minor upsets in their quarter-final encounters, with both Zverev and Badosa continuing their strong form to also book a spot in the final four of their respective draws.

Medvedev / Zverev 3-0 / Pavlyuchenkova / Badosa
