The Green Bay Packers are coming off a great game and head to the Nation’s Heartland to face the Kansas City Chiefs, who are without the reigning MVP.

This game was penciled as possibly one of the best of the 2019 NFL season, but that changed when Patrick Mahomes went down. He is likely out for a few games and that is why the Packers are the road favorite in this Sunday night showdown.

Green Bay have won three in a row and sit first in the NFC North, only one game up on the Minnesota Vikings. In their last game they beat the Oakland Raiders 42-24, where Aaron Rodgers accounted for six touchdowns and had a perfect passer rating.

The Chiefs snapped their two-game losing streak in their last outing, where Mahomes suffered a dislocated knee in 30-6 win over the Denver Broncos. Veteran Matt Moore will get the start under center, having passed for 117 yards with a touchdown and no interceptions after replacing Mahomes.

The Packers had fewer yards (484-481) than the Raiders and only rushed for 60 yards, but they forced the only two turnovers of the game and Rodgers was awesome. He was 25/31 for 429 yards with five touchdowns and no interceptions and also rushed for a score. Eight different players caught a pass in the game and what is scary about the Green Bay offense is they are still without their best receiver in Davante Adams.

Green Bay had run the ball well for two games with Aaron Jones and Jamaal Williams before only rushing for 60 yards in the win over Oakland.

The Chiefs have played good pass defense on the season, ranking ninth in that category, but only rank 29th in the league defending the run.

Moore played pretty well taking over for Mahomes in the last game, but he simply cannot make the same plays. The Chiefs have a lot of weapons in the pass game with WR Tyreek Hill and TE Travis Kelse, but the team may lean on the run more in this game. They may have to try to control the clock and keep Rodgers on the sidelines.

LeSean McCoy leads the Chiefs in rushing yards and in the win over the Broncos he rushed for 64 yards and averaged 5.3 yards per carry. He will be facing a Green Bay run defense that only ranks 24th in the league and gave up 155 rushing yards in the win over the Raiders.
