Jacksonville Jaguars vs. Kansas City Chiefs NFL Week 5 over/under tips
Betting Line: Chiefs -4.5
Over/Under: 49 points at 888 Sportsbook
A battle between two of the early-season offensive and defensive juggernauts will make for a very interesting NFL betting encounter this Sunday.
The Jaguars are at 3-1 and they are coming off a blowout win in their last game where they scored 31 points.
They are in the lead in the AFC South and this game is all about their top-ranked defense facing a Kansas City offense that leads the league in points per game.
Jacksonville has really not played any teams with a great offense, as they did beat Tom Brady and the Patriots 31-20, but this season New England is not the same New England team and ranks 23rd in the NFL in overall offense.
It’s time to cash in on an NFL teaser bet! Find out how to cash in on this system here.
The Chiefs and the L.A. Rams are the last teams in the league without a loss and Kansas City is ablaze with the play of second year QB Patrick Mahomes. He has a ton of weapons and while the offense is clicking the Chiefs’ defense ranks dead last in the league. Still, can Mahomes keep up his stellar play facing the best defense in the league? Big question.
The road team is 4-1 ATS in the last five games between the Jaguars and the Chiefs. They have not faced each other since the 2016 season.
This season the Jaguars are 3-1 ATS and they have an Over/Under record of 2-2 with the Chiefs at 4-0 ATS with an Over/Under record of 3-1.
In their last game the Jaguars were at home and beat the New York Jets 3 1-12. They dominated the game outgaining the Jets 503 yards to 178 yards and they held New York to only 34 rushing yards. Blake Bortles went off for 388 passing yards with two touchdowns and one interception and and Dede Westbrook and Donte Moncrief each had over 105 receiving yards.
The injury bug has already hit the Jags hard with Leonard Fournette missing a lot of time with a hamstring injury. He aggravated that injury in the last game and will not be playing in this one facing the Chiefs. TJ Yeldon gets the call in the backfield and he leads the Jags in rushing yards and did have 52 rushing yards in the win over the Jets, but only averaged 2.9 yards per carry. He will get his chance to improve upon that average this Sunday facing a Chiefs’ run defense that ranks 28th in the league.
Mahomes has blown out of the gates this season with three 300+ yard passing games in his last three games and has 14 touchdowns with no interceptions. RB Kareem Hunt broke out in the last game rushing for 121 yards and also having 54 receiving yards and wide receiver Tyreek Hill and tight end Travis Kelse each has over 300 receiving yards and each has three touchdowns. The Chiefs are loaded on the offensive side of the ball and they have made up for the struggling defense.
The Chiefs’ defense may have to shoulder more of the load in this game with the offense facing Jacksonville and their great defense.

So, the Jags and their number one defense facing the Chiefs, who are the highest scoring team in the league.
Taking the offense in this one in the Chiefs since they are at home and Mahomes has been lights out.
This game will be pretty close and not a high scoring one, but Kansas City will win, cover the spread, and remain undefeated.
