Girona vs Celta Vigo

Continuing their fairytale run, Girona sit second on the table as the top-scoring side in La Liga. Facing the 18th-placed Celta Vigo at home this weekend, Girona should have too much firepower.

Almeria vs Las Palmas

Last-placed Almeria host Las Palmas in a bid to get their first win of the season. Las Palmas have the worst attack in the competition, while Almeria have the worst defence. With the match to be played in Andalusia, back this to be a close one.

Barcelona vs Real Madrid

The first Clasico of the season promises to be a great contest, as both sides are in excellent form. Barcelona are undefeated this season but still sit one point behind the first-placed Real Madrid. With five of the last six matchups between the sides going over 2.5 goals, expect another high-scoring clash.

Mallorca vs Getafe

The struggling Mallorca will face a Getafe side that has drawn its last four matches. The last three meetings between these two have gone to the home side, and Mallorca should have the advantage this week. Watch out for Mallorca striker Vedat Muriqi, who has four goals and two assists in his last six matches.

Cadiz vs Sevilla

Winless in their last six matches, Cadiz face another challenging matchup as they host Sevilla. After holding Real Madrid to a 2-2 draw last weekend, Sevilla will be full of confidence as they look to turn around their poor start to the season, and they should have too much quality for a Cadiz side that has struggled to hit the scoreboard.

Real Betis vs Osasuna

Two sides looking to push into the top six spots, Real Betis host Osasuna in a match between ninth and 10th spots. Having already drawn five of their 10 matches, Betis will be looking to build greater momentum despite being undefeated in their last five matches. With home advantage, Betis should be too strong.

Rayo Vallecano vs Real Sociedad

After continuing their excellent league form with a Champions League win during the week, Real Sociedad will be full of confidence as they face an impressive Rayo Vallecano side that is undefeated in its last six matches. Vallecano haven’t beaten Sociedad since 2015 and should struggle again.

Athletic Bilbao vs Valencia

After two losses from their last three matches, Athletic Club will be looking to bounce back against Valencia. Los Ches haven’t won at the San Mames since 2019 and have won just one of their past five matches this season. Watch out for Athletic winger Inaki Williams, who is always a threat around goal.

Atletico Madrid vs Deportivo Alaves

After winning each of their last four league matches, Atletico Madrid will be looking to extend this streak as they welcome the 16th-placed Deportivo Alaves. With a hat-trick last weekend taking his tally for the season to seven goals, watch for Atletico striker Antoine Griezmann in the final third.

Granada vs Villarreal

This match presents an excellent opportunity for either side to gain valuable points as they hope to avoid a relegation battle. Villarreal should be favourites, but given they are playing away while also coming off a short break due to their Europa League fixture, the match should be closer than expected.
