Roland Garros tennis odds

Are we seeing something special unfold in the women’s draw at the 2018 French Open?

Having entered the tournament with only four matches under her belt since the 2017 Australian Open final, Serena Williams is through to the third round and looking fit as a fiddle.

Should she progress any further, her cause will be aided by the inevitable elimination of either Maria Sharapova or Karolina Pliskova in one of Saturday’s standout matchups.

There is little of interest to report from the men’s event, where Rafael Nadal dropped a mere four games to Guido Pella in the second round.

Only two of the top 16 seeds have exited the tournament thus far, but that could well change over the weekend.

Saturday’s French Open odds come courtesy of Bovada, which offers excellent prices on an enormous range of Roland Garros betting markets.

Diego Schwartzman (11) vs. Borna Coric

Schwartzman – +110
Coric – -130

This should be a right old slog between two of the tour’s most capable baseliners. Schwartzman breezed through the second round, yet the 11th seed is a slight outsider due to a 0-2 record against Coric. It is a tough one to call, but history tips the balance in favour of the impressive young Croat.

Fabio Fognini (18) vs. Kyle Edmund (16)

Fognini – +100
Edmunds – -120

Fognini has claimed a few scalps already this year, most notably that of Dominic Thiem in the round of 32 at the Italian Open. Can he add another by knocking out one of this year’s Australian Open semi-finalists? The bookies are giving Edmund the slightest of edges, and we think that’s about right.

Albert Ramos-Vinolas vs. Juan Martin del Potro (5)

Ramos-Vinolas – +300
Del Potro – -400

Would you believe that these two have only met on court once in a dozen years on tour? That was five years ago at Wimbledon, where Juan Martin claimed a comprehensive straight-sets victory in the first round. Even though Ramos-Vinolas is much more comfortable on the red stuff, the fifth seed should progress.

Julia Goerges (11) vs. Serena Williams

Goerges – +120
Williams – -145

We took the odds on Williams to beat Ashleigh Barty in the second round, and the veteran American delivered the goods with a strong performance over three sets. Goerges has found something like career-best form over the past 18 months, yet the German has never gone deep at the majors and won’t beat an on-song Serena.

French Open parlay odds for Saturday, June 2

  • Coric to win (-130)
  • Edmund to win (-120)
  • Del Potro to win (-400)
  • Williams to win (-145)

Bovada payout odds = +585
