An end to terror is preferable to terror without an end but for Arsenal, the terror will only end with Arsene Wenger’s inevitable departure from the club. Chelsea travel to Manchester for the second time in a week, this time round hoping to register a better outcome having sustained a 2-1 defeat at Old Trafford on their last Premier League outing.

Fernandinho missed the trip to London with a hamstring injury and as such remains sidelined for the hosts. Fabian Delph serves the last of his three-match suspension on Sunday and will therefore watch from the stands.

For a team that was, in effect, indestructible last season, you can’t help but wonder where the wheels started coming off. Well the Blues have conceded 25 goals in 28 matches, and their soft underbelly is precariously poised to be exposed against the most gifted attacking team on the land.

Although Chelsea are only two points shy of Tottenham Hotspur who occupy the last Champions League spot, the Blues face the harsh reality of drifting further away from a top four finish, seeing as they are starring down the barrel of another defeat in Manchester.
