NBA Finals Game Four Top Picks and Best Bets | Friday, June 10

NBA odds and tips

The NBA Finals have yet to produce a truly exhilarating game but the series as a whole has been very entertaining. After a huge Game Three win, the Boston Celtics now possess a 2-1 series lead and now will host Game Four. Boston have a chance to get a stranglehold on the series and a 3-1 lead is seldom a lead teams are able to come back from. However, Golden State should play with more energy in this next game as they have been vocally disappointed with not only their own play, but also the negativity of the Boston crowd. Either way, the Warriors have been at this point before and will know what they need to do. Regardless, here are some picks for an extremely important Game Four matchup. All odds courtesy of Bovada.

Golden State Warriors at Boston Celtics

The Warriors have been in every game in this series but have had two fourth quarter meltdowns that made it look like a worse score than it really was. After Game One’s fourth quarter catastrophe, the Warriors responded with a great Game Two win and truly dominated Boston in that game. We expect something similar to happen in this game as the Warriors should be upset with their performance in Game Three. The Warriors have yet to lose two games in a row during their playoff run and they should be prepared to figure out how to get a win again. Draymond Green drew the ire of the Boston crowd in Game Three so as long as he keeps his cool, he will bring his trademark intensity and help energize this Warrior’s team to a big win.

The Celtics, however, are playing very well. Jayson Tatum may not be scoring at a high rate, but he is a great playmaker and is showing how effective he can be in multiple roles. The scoring leader for the Celtics to this point has been Jaylen Brown and he has molded himself into the most important player in this series. The Celtics offense will go as far as these two take them. And right now, it doesn’t appear like the Warriors have an answer for them. That being said, the Warriors at their peak are better than the Celtics at their respective peak and we should get a peak performance from the Warriors in this game. They cannot afford to go down 3-1 and have their backs against a wall. The Warriors should come out and play a complete game. Even if they don’t win, it will be close and Golden State should cover.

Jayson Tatum To Record a Double Double

This is a very good value bet. Essentially, for this bet to cash, Tatum will need to have at least 10 points and either 10 rebounds or 10 assists. The 10 points should be a given, Tatum can score that many in a quarter. The question will be whether he can grab 10 rebounds or dish out assists. We think it’s more likely he gets the assists but he also has the ability to get 10 rebounds if the ball bounces his way. Tatum had 14 assists in game one and while that was a bit of an outlier, the Celtics strategy has the ball in Tatum’s hands even more than normal. That makes sense, it’s the NBA Finals and Tatum is their best player. If Boston wants to win, Tatum will have to be a key contributor. In this game expect Tatum to continue dishing the ball with a lot of success and expect this to come down to a few assists in the fourth quarter. At this number, it’s definitely worth the bet.

Stephen Curry Over 29.5 Points

Curry has been the only consistent scorer for the Warriors throughout this series. He has covered this number in two out of three games and in game two, he had 29 points. Curry needs to have a big game for this Warriors offense to work and the Celtics seem to be content with Curry taking 10 plus three point shots. If they are content, Curry will happily oblige and should cover this number. He is a generational shooter and will take as many shots as he needs in order to will himself and his team to victory.

Draymond Green Over 7.5 Points

The Boston crowd taunted and jeered at Green for the majority of Game Three. Who can blame them? Draymond is the definition of a guy who you want on your team but hate when he plays for the opponent. He’s a guy who likes the bend the rules and plays with a ton of intensity. He is not a scorer, which is why this line is so low. He only would have covered this spread in one game throughout this series but he should cover in Game Four. He is pissed off and should play with a lot of emotion. When that happens, Draymond is at his best. As long as he doesn’t foul out early, Draymond should cover this number.

Draymond Green Over 7.5 Points
