THERE are five NBA games scheduled for this Thursday and there is some good money to be made. Some of the best eastern and western conference teams are in action with the Trail Blazers vs. Clippers being the highlight of the day.
We have a four-leg NBA parlay on the cards which starts when the Cleveland Cavaliers take on the struggling Brooklyn Nets in Brooklyn.
Also featured in our parlay is an all-eastern conference game between the Bulls and Knicks where the Bulls will be looking to keep their playoff chances alive.
The Thunder welcome the Jazz to Chesapeake Arena and the Clippers will be looking to keep in touch with Golden State and San Antonio atop of the western conference ladder.

Thursday NBA parlay of the week
Cleveland Cavaliers (-357) at Brooklyn Nets (+285)
LeBron James hasn’t been doing much to help his team out off the court lately. The star power forward unfollowed his own team on Twitter on Tuesday which started a media frenzy.
There is also a reported rift between James and Kyrie Irving, but on the court they look to be playing well enough and facing the Nets should help with team cohesion.
The Nets are 19-51 this season and only 12-24 at home. Brooks Lopez is doing his best with an average of 20.7 points per game, but his supporting cast just isn’t getting the job done.
We expect the 50-20 Cavaliers to exercise their frustrations with an easy wins over the Nets. WilliamHill.com is offering the Cavs are -7.5 (-109) and that’s a good bet.
Cavs -7.5 at -109
Chicago Bulls (-175) at New York Knicks (+149)
The Chicago Bulls’ record doesn’t indicate the talent they possess. They are 36-33 overall and 12-21 away which isn’t very good, but with Jimmy Butler and Derrick Rose healthy, they can turn that record around.
The Knicks have had an up-and-down season and after looking good early in the season, they have fallen apart over the past couple of months.
Carmelo Anthony is the team leader in points, rebounds and assists, but he needs his teammates to step up. The Knicks have a losing home record which is never good and we think the Bulls are a great parlay inclusion at those odds.
We will stick with the moneyline odds of -175 as we don’t fully trust the Bulls to cover the spread on the road just yet.
Bulls moneyline at -175
Utah Jazz (+440) at Oklahoma City Thunder (-588)
It would be very unlikely for Utah to pull off a win at Chesapeake Arena and we don’t think it will happen. The current points spread line of 10 is where punters will find the best value.
The Thunder are travelling along nicely with a 49-22 record and they have faced some tough opponents in recent times. It will be a nice change for them to flex their muscles against Utah which is fighting for its life in the western conference.
On talent alone the Thunder would put up a big number on the Jazz, but they aren’t a team that puts it all together on the court. The Jazz should keep this game close enough to see out the +10 spread at -109.
Jazz +10 at -109
Portland Trail Blazers (+164) at LA Clippers (-196)
Portland have been good in patches this season, but they haven’t been able to show any consistency. They find themselves one win above .500 and they enter Los Angeles to face a Clippers team that has been playing well.
The Clips have been playing well against the likes of the Warriors and the Thunder, so taking on the less-talented Blazers should be an easy win.
We thought the Clippers would be paying less than -196 so the odds are in our favor and they look an obvious parlay inclusion.
Expect Chris Paul to run the show and for DeAndre Jordan to throw down plenty of dunks for the home crowd to get excited about. This looks one of the easiest games on the board.
Clippers moneyline at -196
