NBA Playoffs Rd 2 picks & best bets | Sunday, May 1

NBA odds and tips

The second round of the NBA playoffs is officially set and it’s about to get real. Each of the remaining teams will have legitimate title aspirations and will fight hard to get what they want. The second round of the playoffs is going to be very interesting and will feature career defining moments for the stars of the league. This Sunday, NBA fans will be treated to two games and we have a pick for each of them.

Milwaukee Bucks at Boston Celtics

This is going to be a fantastic series. The Celtics and Bucks each took care of their first round opponents with relative ease and will come into this series with a lot of confidence. The Celtics have a great defensive team with star players capable of lighting up the scoreboard on offense. However, if Tatum isn’t hitting his shots, they can struggle when it comes to scoring.

The Bucks have Giannis. He is probably the best player in the league and is a certified playoff performer. The Bucks will go as far as he takes them and although the Celtics have a great defense, Giannis is a generational talent. He could win this series by himself. And he largely will have to. The Bucks will be without arguably their second best player in Khris Middleton and his loss will hurt Milwaukee on both sides of the floor. However, for game one, we will side with Giannis and the Bucks. Until the Celtics prove they can stop Giannis, we will not be betting against him.

Milwaukee Bucks +4.5

Golden State Warriors at Memphis Grizzlies

This is yet another fascinating series where two opposite basketball teams will be facing off. The Grizzlies are a young team who had a great regular season before struggling in their first round matchup. They have a ton of talent and are led by MVP candidate Ja Morant. The Grizzlies have a great offense filled with role players who can get hot from behind the three point line. They will be hard for the Warriors to deal with, but Golden St’s experience is going to be a massive advantage.

The Warriors are in the midst of yet another title run with Steph Curry, Klay Thompson and Draymond Green. However, this year, they have guys like Jordan Poole and Jonathan Kuminga who are capable of giving them the necessary help to win the title. Overall, the Warriors have just been too dominant for too long and should handle the younger Grizzlies. The Warriors will not be overwhelmed by the moment and will know how to deal with the inevitable playoff adversity. This team is loaded and although they are away, we expect the Warriors to jump on the Grizzlies and get a huge game one win

Golden State Warriors -1.5
