Philadelphia 76ers vs. Miami Heat

Thursday April 19, 7 PM EST at American Airlines Arena Miami, FL

The big question for this big encounter surrounds the availability of Joel Embiid. The All Star has missed the first two games of this series and the 76ers miss his presence on the inside.

The NBA’s concussion protocol means the big man may miss again.

In the Game 2 loss the 76ers struggled shooting the rock with a FG% of 41.7% and a 3-pt FG% of only 19.4%. They allowed the Heat to shoot 48.8% from the field and in the 2nd quarter Miami outscored Philly by 21 points.

Dwyane Wade showed he still has gas left in his tank after going for 28 points off the bench in Game 2 and three of five starters went for at least 14 points.

Without Embiid, Dario Saric has to step up and have a better game than he did in Game 3. While he did go for 23 points he was 8/21 from the floor and only 3/10 from 3-pt range.

No Embiid, no win for the 76ers, as the Heat have confidence and will take Game 3.

Golden State Warriors vs. San Antonio Spurs

Thursday April 19, 9:30 PM EST at AT&T Center San Antonio, TX

In Game 2 the Spurs put up a better fight than Game 1, but still lost by 15 points. They allowed the Warriors to shoot 52.6% from the floor and they only shot 14.3% from deep, connecting on 4 of their 28 3-pointers.

LeMarcus Aldrdige had a big game with 34 points and 12 rebounds, but he needs more help. Actually, instead of more scoring help, the Spurs have to play better D if they are going to avoid going down 3-0 in the series.

Even with Stephen Curry still out, the Warriors still had their groove on offense in the 116-101 Game 2 win. Kevin Durant (32 points) and Klay Thomson (31 points) got it done and the Spurs have to keep these guys from blowing up.

The Spurs will put up a valiant effort at home, but the Warriors have too much firepower and they will win and take a 3-0 series lead.
