NBA Playoffs top betting picks and best odds | Saturday, May 7

NBA odds and tips

The 2022 NBA Playoffs are rolling into the weekend and there are quite a bit of interesting storylines. Two of the four series are very entertaining and could truly go either way. Both of those series will be played this Saturday and the excitement is palpable for NBA fans. The home court advantage is gone in both series and they will both be in even battles. The Bucks and Warriors now get the chance to host their opponents and will try to take a commanding lead. However, the Celtics and Grizzlies are formidable foes. These games are going to be great, and we have a pick for each contest.

Boston Celtics at Milwaukee Bucks

As you can tell by the line, these teams are extremely evenly matched. They are both title contenders and have gone at each other in the first two games of the series. The Bucks will now head home in an even series and a chance to take a commanding lead. The Bucks’ defensive strategy on Boston star Jayson Tatum has worked, but it allows Jaylen Brown to go off. Ultimately, this series will come down to Brown and whether he can play at the elite level he is capable of. In this game, away from home, it may be hard for Brown to get going and the Bucks will have a different level of intensity in front of their fans.

The Bucks’ key to winning this game is all based around Giannis Antetokounmpo. He is dominating, but missing his free throws. If that continues, it hurts his ability to get to the rim, where he is so dangerous. Giannis has historically been better at the free throw line in front of his home fans and that will be a huge factor. If he can get going, and make the freebies, the Bucks will take a 2-1 lead. At home, it’s a good bet. Take the Bucks and watch what should be an awesome game of basketball.

Memphis Grizzlies at Golden State Warriors

This game is going to be a battle. During game two, Memphis role player Dillon Brooks injured Golden St. defensive stopper Gary Payton Jr., on a dirty play. After that, the game was intense and very chippy. Now, Brooks will be suspended for this game but the Warriors will still be angry with the Grizzlies. In front of their home fans, the Warriors will have something to prove and now have the anger to motivate them. Brooks is also a good player, so his loss will hurt Memphis’ chances. The Warriors are going to be angry and no one should bet against that.

Also, the Warriors have so much more experience in the playoffs than the Grizz. They have been in so many series like this and know how to win in the playoffs. The Grizzlies are young and have a ton of talent but haven’t been at this point before. Experience in the playoffs cannot be overlooked and guys like Steph Curry and Draymond Green will be the difference. Take the Warriors in what should be an exciting but chippy affair.
