Betting Line: Patriots -6.5
Over/Under: 48.5 points at 888 Sportsbook

The New England Patriots and Tennessee Titans met in last season’s NFL playoffs and will face off here with a spot in the 2018/19 NFL playoffs on the line.

With all the bets availing for this AFC game punters have a ton of options with great odds posted at 888 Sportsbook.

If it were not for the New Orleans Saints the Patriots would be the hottest team in the NFL, as they have won six in a row. They had an impressive Sunday night win in their last game beating the Green Bay Packers 31-17. New England is in their usual place atop the AFC East two games up on the Miami Dolphins. Tom Brady is still getting it done and the Pats rank 4th in the league in points per game and in their last six games they have averaged 35.5 points per game.

The Titans may have saved their season in their last game snapping a three-game losing streak with a 28-14 road win over the Dallas Cowboys on Monday night. They had only had a grand total of 31 points in losing their previous three games and the offense for Tennessee only ranks tied for 29th in the league in points per game. However, in terms of scoring defense Tennessee ranks first in the league giving up an average of only 17.6 points per game.

Last season these teams met in the playoffs where the Patriots were at home and they beat the Titans 35-14 on their way to the Super Bowl.

This season the Patriots are 6-3 ATS and they have an Over/Under record of 4-5 with the Titans at 4-4 ATS with an Over/Under record of 3-5.

The Patriots have covered the spread in their last five games facing the Titans.

In their win over the Packers the Patriots had 433 total yards and they put the game away in the 4th quarter outscoring Green Bay 14-0. Brady passed for 294 yards with a touchdown and no interceptions and for the second time in three games Josh Gordon went for over 100 receiving yards. Rob Gronkowski ranks second on New England and is questionable for this game with an injury, as is leading rusher Sony Michel.

Cordarrelle Patterson rushed for 61 yards in the win over Green Bay and if Michel cannot go he will be the main guy in the backfield. Tennessee has been solid against the pass this season ranking 8th in pass defense, but their run defense only ranks in the middle of the pack (16th).

The Titans limped into Dallas in their last game after losing three in a row, but came out with a 28-14 win where they shut out the Cowboys in the second half. They only gave up 297 total yards and they stuffed the run only giving up 72 yards on the ground.

After not throwing for a touchdown in two straight games Tennessee’s Marcus Mariota had two of them in the win over Dallas with no interceptions passing for 240 yards. The Titans rushed for 125 yards in the win over the Cowboys led by Deion Lewis, who rushed for 61 yards, but averaged a pretty weak 3.3 yards per carry.

The Titans are a run first team, but they may want to change that up in this game facing a Pats’ pass defense that only ranks 26th in the league.

New England Patriots vs. Tennessee Titans betting prediction

The Patriots are on fire and the Titans stopped the bleeding in their last game.

While the Pats are banged up, they still have the guy in Brady under center and a legit supporting cast.

They move the ball well in the air and on the ground and will keep the Titans from doing the same.

On the road, New England will win their seventh straight game and they will also cover the spread handing the Titans their fourth loss in their last five games.
