Entertainment betting for Super Bowl 2021

No single game generates more NFL betting interest than the Super Bowl. Hundreds of proposition bets are released on the game every year, including plenty of performance-based options for both teams and individual players. But there are also plenty of non-game related prop bets to choose from as well for entertainment purposes. Here’s a look at some of the most popular entertainment prop bets for Super Bowl LV at Bovada.

Super Bowl LV pre-game proposition bets

Why wait for the game to get started to get your Super Bowl betting action under way? Betting on whether the coin toss will be Heads (-105) or Tails (-105) is a popular way for gamblers who love action to get things going. You can also bet on whether or not the Kansas City Chiefs will win the coin toss or whether the team that wins the coin toss will go on to win the game, with both sides of each of those props going off at +105.

Bettors can also place wagers on the National Anthem, which will be performed this year by Jazmine Sullivan. The market favors Sullivan to sing the anthem in UNDER two minutes and zero seconds at (-150), while the OVER is set at +110. You can also bet on which quarterback will be shown first during the anthem (Tom Brady at -130, Patrick Mahomes at -110) or on whether any players will kneel during the anthem (Yes at +900, No at -3000).

Super Bowl LV halftime show prop bets

The Weeknd is performing this year’s Super Bowl Halftime Show, and there are plenty of prop bets to choose from on his performance. Black is the favorite to be his first jacket color at +110 over Red (+175), Blue (+300), White (+300), and Purple (+500). Bettors can also bet on whether or not The Weeknd will be wearing gloves when his performance starts (Yes at -200, No at +150) or sunglasses (Yes at -140, No at +100).

As far as which song he will sing first, “Blinding Lights” is a slight favorite at +180 over other hits including “Save Your Tears” (+200), “Pray For Me” (+250), “Starboy” (+300), and “Can’t Feel My Face” (+300). The Weeknd is going off at -500 to wrap up his show with one of his original songs with +300 odds that he wraps up with a cover of another song instead.

Super Bowl LV post-game proposition bets

The most popular post-game proposition bet is on what color the liquid that the Super Bowl-winning coach will be doused in. Last season, Andy Reid received a shower of orange Gatorade, so it comes as no surprise that Orange is the favorite in Super Bowl LV at +100. Red/Pink is next on the list at +300, followed by Green/Yellow (+450), Clear (+600), Blue (+700), and Purple (+750).

Gamblers can also bet on who the Super Bowl MVP will refer to first in his post-game speech. Teammates are the favorite at +100 followed by God/Religion at +225, USA (+700), Winning City (+700), Family (+900), Coaches (+1000), and Team Owner (+2000). Mahomes mentioned his teammates first last season and Brady mentioned his coach first when he last won Super Bowl MVP in 2017.

There isn’t much of a science to betting on entertainment props, but placing some of these wagers can certainly add a lot of fun to the Super Bowl viewing experience.
