NFL Week 16 betting picks & top prop bets – Christmas Eve 2022

NFL football tips

The NFL is down to its final three weeks and the playoff picture is getting clearer with every passing game. This week, we have 11 games for Christmas Eve and it’s set up to be a great holiday weekend of football. Here are our free betting picks for Saturday’s games.

Atlanta Falcons @ Baltimore Ravens

The Baltimore Ravens are a good playoff team that has struggled in recent weeks. Ever since QB Lamar Jackson got injured, the Ravens’ offense has been stagnant and they have only topped 10 points once in their past three games. While it appears Lamar will remain out of this game, the Ravens should have an easy time in this game. The Falcons’ defense is one of the worst in the league and backup QB Tyler Huntley has enough tools to take advantage of that. Also, the Falcons’ offense has been horrible and it appears like they will start rookie Desmond Ridder for the second straight week. That is great news for an elite Ravens defense and they should lockdown a bad Falcons offense. Expect both sides of the ball to do enough for the Ravens to comfortably cover in this spot.

Chiefs anytime touchdown scorer: Travis Kelce

The Kansas City Chiefs host the Seattle Seahawks and it should be a fun game. In a contest between two great offenses and two bad defenses, points should be easy to come by, and that means Travis Kelce should have a huge game. The Seahawks have been gashed by tight ends all year and just last week, they gave up 100 yards and two touchdowns to San Francisco tight end, George Kittle. Kelce should feast on this team. Kelce has 12 touchdowns already this season and he is clearly Patrick Mahomes’ favorite endzone target. In a game the Chiefs should be in redzone a lot, Kelce can comfortably be expected to grab at least one score.

Seahawks anytime touchdown scorer: D.K. Metcalf

On the other side of the ball in the Chiefs vs Seahawks game, we are taking elite wide receiver D.K. Metcalf to score. He is the de facto number one guy for the Seahawks offense and now, his partner Tyler Lockett projects to miss the game. This will only siphon more targets to D.K. and he should have a huge game. While the Chiefs are a great team, they have given up the most passing touchdowns in the league and the Seahawks will be able to score in this contest. Metcalf has six touchdowns this year and he is a great bet to add to that tally here.

Detroit Lions @ Carolina Panthers

The Lions have been on fire recently but this projects to be a tough spot for them. Detroit have a great offense and a terrible defense and while the Panther’s defense is beatable, they should contain the Lions. And on the offensive side of the ball, we expect the Panthers to dominate. Carolina have won games on the backs of their rushing attack in recent weeks and the Lions cannot stop anyone on the ground. Also, the Panthers have been solid at home all season and they should use their home-field advantage to get an early lead on the Lions. And from there, it will be on their run game to see this game through. Against the Lion’s defense, that should be relatively easy and it makes the Panthers a great bet in this spot.

Buffalo Bills @ Chicago Bears

It’s another week and that means it’s another bet on Justin Fields to score. The Chicago Bears QB has been a revelation this season and he is scrambling all over his opponents. While he didn’t find the endzone last week, he broke off a 60 yard run where they said he stepped out on the five yard line. Simply put, it was a bad beat. Fields is 273 rushing yards away from breaking the record for most rushing yards by a QB in a season and the Chicago QB has said he is gunning for the record. Expect Fields to rush a lot and score his eighth rushing touchdown in as many games. He is simply playing too well to not bet at this point.

Philadelphia Eagles @ Dallas Cowboys

This is a fascinating game that has major implications for the playoff picture. The 10-4 Dallas Cowboys will host the 13-1 Philadelphia Eagles and while the Eagles are a better team, their QB and MVP favorite Jalen Hurts projects to miss this game with a broken collarbone. Advantage Cowboys. The Eagles’ offense should really struggle without Hurts against one of the best defenses in the league and at home, the Cowboys should lock them down on that side of the ball. Offensively, Dallas should be able to run the ball all day and that is the way to beat the Eagles. Take Dallas to get a huge win against a hampered Eagles team led by backup QB Gardner Minshew.

Las Vegas Raiders @ Pittsburgh Steelers

After a brutal start to the season, it appears like star running back Najee Harris has figured it out. Najee has scored five times in his past five games and after a start where he only had three touchdowns in nine games, Steelers fans can take a sigh of relief. And now, Najee gets to destroy the Raiders’ rush defense. The Raiders have been gashed on the ground all season and last week, they gave up nearly 200 rushing yards and a score to Patriot’s running back, Rhamondre Stevenson. This is a great spot for Harris to score and at +115, this is our best bet for the Christmas Eve night game.
