NHL Saturday betting picks and top parlays for 4/23/2022

Best bookmakers for NHL betting

There are 12 National Hockey League (NHL) games scheduled for Saturday in the Americas, starting at 12:30 p.m. Eastern Standard Time (U.S.). Here’s where you should place your bets on the Saturday games. All lines provided by Bovada.

St. Louis Blues @ Arizona Coyotes

St. Louis goes to Anaheim on Sunday, but regardless of who starts for the Blues in net, they’ll have the goaltending advantage over Arizona. St. Louis is also rolling offensively, scoring 25 times over their last five games, winning four of those five.

The Coyotes have lost their last five. In fact, they’ve lost their last eight games, and there’s no real sign of hope against a St. Louis team fighting for home ice advantage in an inevitable playoff matchup against Minnesota, who has a game in hand.

Take the Blues on the moneyline and to win by at least goals at -135. Given the Blues’ hot offense and Arizona’s hapless defense, you might also consider betting that more than 6.5 goals are scored at +100. The Coyotes have allowed 31 goals over their last five games.

Pittsburgh Penguins @ Detroit Red Wings

Pittsburgh gets Philadelphia on Sunday, and Detroit hosts New Jersey on Sunday. While Tristan Jarry is out for Pittsburgh, the Penguins still have the advantage in the crease with Casey DeSmith starting. He took an overtime loss to Detroit early in the season, stopping 30 of 32 shots on goal.

Less than a month ago, the Penguins won on home ice over the Red Wings 11-2, but Pittsburgh and Detroit have the same record over their last 10 games (4-5-1), and Pittsburgh has been rather pedestrian on offense of late (3.1 goals scored per game over last 10 games).

Bet that fewer than 6.5 goals will be scored in this one, and parlay that bet with a bet on the over in the St. Louis/Arizona game for odds of +273. Also take the Penguins on the moneyline and parlay them with St. Louis to win -145.

Seattle Kraken @ Dallas Stars

Dallas gets the Kraken a day after Seattle played in Minnesota, one of the toughest road games in the NHL. Seattle entered that game having won three straight home games, however. The Stars are losers of three straight road games in Canada, so they’ll be happy to be back in Lone Star State.

Dallas has won both games it’s played against Seattle by three goals, and with Vegas on their spurs, just two points back of the final playoff spot in the Western Conference, Dallas needs this game. Expect the Stars to get a much-needed win at home over the tired Kraken. Take Dallas on the moneyline and add St. Louis and Pittsburgh for a moneyline trifecta paying +130.

You might also consider placing a bet on fewer than six total goals being scored at -115. Parlaying that bet with bets on the over in the Blues’ game and the under in the Penguins’ game pays +599.
