NHL Saturday betting picks and top parlays for 4/9/2022

Ottawa Senators @ New York Rangers Picks

There are 12 National Hockey League (NHL) games scheduled for Saturday in the Americas, starting at 2 p.m. Eastern Standard Time (U.S.). Here’s where you should place your bets on the Saturday games. All lines provided by Bovada.

Montreal Canadiens @ Toronto Maple Leafs

Toronto is the biggest favorite on Saturday because they host the NHL Atlantic Division cellar dwellers. The Canadiens have managed to win two of the three games these teams have played this season, but both were home games. Toronto is 25-7-2 at home, and Montreal is 10-20-7 on the road.

Toronto is averaging almost 5 goals scored per game over its last 10, which has more than covered the 3.4 goals allowed per game average over that stretch. In short, the offense is clicking, the defense is hurting (literally), and the Leafs have won four of five. Expect them to make it five of six.

Take Toronto on the moneyline and to win by two or more goals at -155. Since Toronto has been scoring more and allowing more goals of late, you might also consider betting that more than 6.5 total goals are scored at -125. Parlay the Maple Leafs with…

Toronto Maple Leafs -1.5

Arizona Coyotes @ Vegas Golden Knights

The Knights finally took an “L” at home to Vancouver, which put an end to a six game winning streak at The Fortress. Vegas will be without a few Knights on Saturday, as William Carrier and Nicolas Hague are both out with lower body injuries.

The Coyotes are missing some of their pack as well, with Janis Moser, Christian Fischer, and Lawson Crouse all out with injuries. The Coyotes have struggled scoring in their last 10 games, averaging just 1.8 goals per game. That should please Vegas goaltender Robin Lehner, who allowed five goals in the loss to Vancouver, with three coming at even strength.

Take Vegas on the moneyline and to win by at least two goals at -140. Parlay Vegas with Toronto on the moneyline for -179 odds, and a parlay bet on both teams to win by two or more pays +182.

Vegas Golden Knights -1.5

Ottawa Senators @ New York Rangers

Rangers netminder Igor Shesterkin got back on track with a shutout win over Pittsburgh on Thursday. That’s if you consider allowing six goals (and a shootout loss) over two games being off track. Shesterkin has just been so good this season (2.10 goals allowed per game) that allowing three goals in consecutive starts seems like a slump instead of puck luck.

The Rangers are 7-2-1 over their last 10 games, while Ottawa is 5-4-1 over a 10-game stretch. The Senators are 13-18-3 on the road, and the Rangers are 23-7-4 at home.

Expect special teams to play a pivotal role for the Rangers. Ottawa has served 705 penalty minutes this season, and the Rangers score on 26.6 percent of power play opportunities. Take the Rangers on the moneyline and consider betting on them to win by at least two at -145. A moneyline trifecta featuring New York, Toronto, and Vegas pays +115.
