NHL Sunday betting lines, picks & best parlays 13th March 2022

Best bookmakers for NHL betting

There are 10 National Hockey League (NHL) games scheduled for Sunday in the Americas, starting at 7 p.m. Eastern Standard Time (U.S.). Here’s where you should place your bets on the Sunday games. All lines provided by Bovada.

Toronto Maple Leafs at Buffalo Sabres

Toronto is the biggest favorite of the day at -270, but Buffalo is coming off an impressive win at home over Vegas on Thursday. These teams split the two games already played this season, which were both high-scoring affairs. Buffalo took the most recent game played two weeks ago, 5-1. Leafs goaltender Petr Mrazek was replaced after allowing four goals on 12 shots in an overtime loss to Arizona on Thursday.

With Leafs netminder Jack Campbell on injured reserve, Toronto might turn to Joseph Woll, who’s beaten the Sabres once this season despite allowing four goals. Don’t consider the Leafs to be a lock in this one, but do consider betting the over, which is set at six total goals and pays -120.

Vegas Golden Knights at Columbus Blue Jackets

Vegas is on a three-game losing streak and is far from healthy. Goalie Robin Lehner is out, forcing Laurent Brossoit to pull back-to-back starts on Thursday and Friday, both losses. The Golden Knights will at least have the porous Blue Jackets’ defense (3.66 goals allowed per game average) to weather the storm of injuries that’s knocked the Knights off their horses. Whether it will be enough to get the win on the road, is for you to decide. But parlaying a bet on more than six goals being scored in this game (-125) with the same bet in the Toronto/Buffalo game pays +230.

Florida Panthers at Los Angeles Kings

In Florida, we finally have a Sunday favorite that gives us little reason to worry. The Panthers have won five straight games. Their goaltending has been much improved in March after losing three straight home games to close out February. They haven’t allowed more than three goals in any of their last five wins. Our only real worry with Florida is jet lag resulting from a coast-to-coast flight.

Los Angeles played Saturday, isn’t great at home (14-12-3), and has four players listed on the injury report, none of whom are day-to-day. Look for Florida to avenge their home loss to the Kings by winning on the road. You might even want to consider a bet on them to win by two or more given the attractive +145 odds.

Calgary Flames at Colorado Avalanche

Calgary played Detroit on Saturday and beat Tampa Bay on Thursday. Colorado has lost four of five, one of which was an overtime loss to Calgary in Colorado, but the other three were road games, which makes sense. Colorado is 23-3-3 when playing at home, so expect the Avs to find the game that has them a mile higher than the rest of the Western Conference. Take Colorado on the moneyline, and consider combining Colorado and Florida in a moneyline parlay for +167 odds.
