He stopped 35 of 36 shots in a win over San Jose this season and has been more reliable than Laurent Brossoit. He’s also been better than Sharks’ starter James Reimer this season, albeit in fewer starts.

While these two teams are pretty evenly matched on defense and special teams, the Golden Knights are considerably better offensively at full strength. Vegas also needs every game to stay in playoff contention. The Knights are three points back of Dallas.

Edmonton Oilers @ Columbus Blue Jackets

Edmonton has won four straight, and Columbus has lost four straight. The Oilers have scored 20 goals in their last five games and allowed just 10. The Blue Jackets have scored 13 times, allowing 14 goals.

Edmonton has the better power play and penalty kill, is 20-14-5 on the road, and has the best player in the game. The Oilers’ defense has been especially good lately, and the Blue Jackets’ defense has allowed more goals than they’ve scored over their last 10.

Take Edmonton on the moneyline and to win by at least two at -105. Parlaying the Oilers and Knights on the moneyline pays -125. Taking both teams to win by two or more pays +257.

Pittsburgh Penguins @ Philadelphia Flyers

Pittsburgh hosts Philadelphia on Sunday and then goes to Philadelphia on Monday, making Sunday’s game the second in as many days, with a third consecutive game coming Monday. But the Penguins have two good goalies, excellent special teams, and a good road record (23-11-6).

Philadelphia’s defense might be the only advantage the Flyers have on the ice. They allow 2.60 goals per game on average, and Pittsburgh allows 2.67. The difference in this one will come on special teams. Philadelphia has served 705 penalty minutes to Pittsburgh’s 538, and the Penguins score on almost 21 percent of power play opportunities. Take Pittsburgh on the moneyline, which they’ve done all three times these two teams have played.

Minnesota Wild @ Nashville Predators

The weather might still be cold in Minnesota, but there’s nothing cold about its hockey team. The Wild have won four straight and have earned at least one point in their last nine. Nashville has won three of five, including an impressive home win over Calgary most recently.

Nashville has the better special teams, but the Predators take a lot of penalties (957 penalty minutes this season). That bodes well for the Wild power play, which scored three times on Saturday against the Kraken.
