PokerStars is building a brand new office in Malta’s Spinola Bay area and its parent company Amaya is kicking off a huge recruitment drive to fill 30 new staff positions.

Amaya has announced it will be re-branding as The Stars Group in August this year, with PokerStar’s existing company headquarters remaining in Isle of Man with an additional new state-of-the-art facility in Malta. The new custom-made offices are equipped to house up to 350 staff, which is testament to PokerStars commitment to growth moving forward.

Anyone interested in applying for a position at PokerStars new Malta offices is encouraged to apply through the official channels on the Amaya website.

Vacant positions include Customer Service Specialists, Fraud Investigator, Product Manager, Quality Service Content Specialists and Game Integrity Services Data & Statistics Agent.

Amaya are seeking staff fluent in multiple languages, including English, Portuguese, Czech, German, Chinese, Polish, Romanian, Russian, Norwegian and Danish, with both day and night shifts available.

Recruiters are looking for individuals with a “passion for excellence” who are looking for a challenging career in a global industry leading company. In return, PokerStars is offering employees great benefits, access to in-depth training through the Rational Group Management Academy, and family-friendly support through the MyWellbeing programme.

Amaya’s rebranding efforts

Word of the recruitment drive comes just days after the Canadian-owned Amaya announced its rebrand to The Stars Group during the company’s annual general meeting in Montreal.

The purpose of the rebranding is to put a greater focus on PokerStars, which is the groups prize brand, but some are speculating the rebrand is also a move by Amaya to distance itself from former CEO David Baazov, who is facing criminal charges for insider trading.

In line with the rebrand, Amaya will be moving its business headquarters from Montreal to Toronto in order to “more effectively manage its business and affairs.”

In a press release written by Amaya, the company said the name change, continuance, and head office move to Toronto will be completed by the end of August 2017.
