MANCHESTER City remain unbeaten as we enter the 14th week of the English Premier League season.
That record was in jeopardy last time out, however, as Huddersfield Town snatched a half-time lead before goals from Sergio Aguero and Raheem Sterling got things back on track.
Another big winner was Arsenal, who took advantage of draws to Tottenham Hotspur and Liverpool to leap into fourth place with a last-ditch result over Burnley.
Each of the top six will fancy their chances against lesser opposition in a full midweek schedule where dropped points could prove most costly come May.
Top odds for the Tuesday and Wednesday games come courtesy of William Hill, which offers a number of special incentives – including free bets and deposit matches – for new sign-ups.
EPL accumulator odds for Matchweek 14
- Spurs to beat Leicester – -133.33
- Man United to beat Watford – -142.86
- Burnley to beat Bournemouth – +300
- Chelsea to beat Swansea – -500
Accumulator odds = +1328 at William Hill
Leicester City vs. Tottenham Hotspur
Tuesday, November 28 – 7:45pm GMT – King Power Stadium, Leicester
Leicester – +380
Draw – +280
Tottenham – -133.33
The Foxes have hit a lean patch of late, picking up only two points in their last three games. They were disappointing against West Ham last time out and will need to lift against much stronger opposition.
Spurs are in a rut of their own. Last weekend’s Wembley draw with West Brom means they have managed only one win from four games, although that run includes tough fixtures against Manchester United and Arsenal.
Leicester are capable of some very good football, but their inconsistencies are too glaring and too exploitable. It does not help that Tottenham have looked better on the road than at home all season. Lilywhites for the win.
Watford vs. Manchester United
Tuesday, November 28 – 8pm GMT – Vicarage Road, Watford
Watford – +400
Draw – +300
Man United – -142.86
Although Newcastle United were very, very poor, Watford were excellent value for their 3-0 win at St James’ Park over the weekend. Brazilian youngster Richarlison continues to impress up front, while a rare goal for Andre Grey could be just the confidence-boost he needs.
It took a deflected own goal off Lewis Dunk to give United the points against a very well-drilled Brighton side, but Devils fans have to be happy with their improving form of late. They are far more dangerous team with the likes of Paul Pogba and Zlatan Ibrahimovich in the mix.
Like a few other clubs this term, the Hornets seem to have better luck on the road than they do at home. While United are not quite back to their early-season best, they should have the raw manpower to get it done in Hertfordshire.
Bournemouth vs. Burnley
Wednesday, November 29 – 7:45pm GMT – Vitality Stadium, Bournemouth
Bournemouth – +100
Draw – +240
Burnley – +300
Things are starting to go right for the Cherries, who have lost only of their past five games. They were some ways off their best at the weekend, however, and can count themselves lucky that Swansea City are in a bit of strife at the moment.
Burnley are the story of Premier League 2017-18 so far. The loss to Arsenal was only their second of the season, and it was a controversial one at that. Skipper Tom Heaton is out long-term and Jack Cork is walking a suspension tightrope, but otherwise the Clarets squad is well stocked.
We think the bookies have missed a trick here. Burnley’s away form is excellent – only Man City have bested them on the road – and their direct, energetic style could be too much for a hit-and-miss Bournemouth outfit that has not faced a really good team in several weeks.
Chelsea vs. Swansea City
Wednesday, November 29 – 7:45pm GMT – Stamford Bridge, London
Chelsea – -500
Draw – +600
Swansea – +1600
A fortuitous wonder-goal from Willian gave Chelsea a share of the points at Liverpool in what was an evenly balanced affair. The Blues are now five games without defeat since their shock loss to Crystal Palace in October, due in no small part to the form Eden Hazard, Alvaro Morata and fit-again N’Golo Kante.
Swansea snapped a four-game losing streak with a much-needed point against Bournemouth, but the prevailing mood at Liberty Stadium remains a gloomy one. They have now gone three games without scoring a goal, yet one suspects a clean sheet will be Paul Clement’s top priority at the Bridge.
There is very little else to discuss here. Chelsea are a much, much better team than Swansea in every department and should play them off the park, regardless of which XI Blues boss Antonio Conte opts for.
