Relax Gaming has obtained an operational licence from the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (ACGO) as the Ontario province is set to start regulating online betting and iGaming by April 4.
With over 10 million possible players, Ontario is the most populated province in Canada, this likely to be a highly lucrative chance when it launches in a few days’.
Presently, many gaming brands have started looking to get their share of North America’s emerging market, when it comes to the population they are only second to New York for online sports betting.
Based on Ontario’s allurement, Relax is looking to launch with 130 games across many operators, with half of these games coming from 16 of their partner studios.
This move into Canada, it will aid Relax Gaming’s plans to further increase its operations in North America later this year.
“The launching of the Ontario province market marks the anticipated debuts of authorised operations in Canada and it’s a landmark achievement for the gaming industry in the region,” said Alexia Smilovic Ronde Chief Regulatory Officer at Relax.
Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario’s (AGCO) sensible regulation and approach to licensing should bring good channelization from all the stakeholders in a long run.
Being part of the journey from the very beginning Relax Gaming is excited, they will provide a compliant portfolio and suite of partners under our regulatory umbrella, to make a smooth and intelligent entry into the local scene.
