Rivalry Corp. granted RG Check Accreditation by RGC

Rivalry betting news

Sports betting and media company Rivalry Corp. has successfully carried out the Responsible Gambling Council (RGC) RG Check Program and, in return, received an RG Check Accreditation.

The Check Accreditation is a reward for responsible gaming and is mainly handed out to gaming companies that promote safe gambling practices in their operations. The practices are also expected to be in tune with market expectations and significantly emphasize consumer protection.

Online gaming companies are handed the necessary tools to monitor, evaluate and manage most gambling risks via the RG Check Accreditation Programme. Operators in the Ontario marketplace are officially mandated to complete the programme within the first two years of entering the market. New market players are expected to uphold a high standard in terms of player and consumer protection.

The CEO and co-founder of Rivalry Corp., Steven Salz, spoke on the company’s check accreditation and explained that the reward symbolized a significant milestone for the establishment and proof of its success over the years in the gaming industry.

“Receiving our RG Check Accreditation is important for us as it signals to our customers, the gambling industry, and the gaming and esports community more broadly, our continued dedication to creating a safe environment for customers to play in,” said Salz.

“RG Check is the gold standard in player protection accreditation as it pertains to responsible gambling controls. It is our duty to educate and inform our players so that they can make informed decisions about their gambling play.”

Salz further explained that the company acquired a specific competitive advantage due to its high standard of consumer protection. This enabled Rivalry to expand its business into new unexplored regions and overall strengthened its reach.

The CEO made mention of the company’s use of innovative RG tools, which gave consumers an easier time in terms of seeking assistance when the need arose. Rivalry started the evaluation process prior to the company’s official launch in Ontario province and, as a result concluded it ahead of the deadline. The program completion deadline is October 31, and unregulated operators would be mandated to leave the market by then.

The CEO of RGC, Shelley White, congratulated Rivalry on the successful completion of the accreditation program and commended the company on its evident commitment to player protection.

“Congratulations to Rivalry on successfully completing and achieving the Responsible Gambling Council’s RG Check iGaming Accreditation for its site, Rivalry.com. Rivalry operates the first site that includes esports gambling to be awarded the Accreditation,” White commented.

“This achievement is a clear demonstration of Rivalry’s commitment to player protection throughout its operations. RG Check is an invaluable tool for managing risk and monitoring the overall effectiveness of RG programming, and RGC is proud to provide ongoing support to Rivalry’s harm minimization efforts.”

Rivalry has achieved the status of one of the fastest-growing gambling and esports organizations in the world. The company initially functioned as an esports betting platform; however, it was able to expand into other areas following its success in the sector. Besides its considerable foothold in esports, Rivalry now has a stake in sports betting as well as iCasino products.
