The Seahawks beat the Eagles 17-9 in the Wild Card round, knocking out Philadelphia quarterback Carson Wentz early. They had lost their last two games of the regular season where they gave up a total of 53 points.

The Packers finished the season strong, winning their last five games. While they did not score over 23 points in any of the last four games in that streak, they only gave up an average of 14.2 points per game.

Aaron Rodgers passed for 4,002 yards on the season and Aaron Jones rushed for 1,087 yards and had 49 catches for 474 receiving yards. However, the team still ranked in the middle of the pack in passing, rushing yards and points per game.

These teams have not met since last season, when the Seahawks beat the Packers 27-24 in Seattle. Green Bay are 5-0-1 against the spread in their last six games facing the Seahawks.

Seattle have three running backs on the injured reserve list. That is a big issue, as the running back duo of Travis Homer and Marshawn Lynch combined for a grand total of 19 yards on 17 carries against the Eagles.

In the last game of the season the Packers beat the Detroit Lions, outscoring them 13-3 in the fourth quarter to secure a first-round bye. The Packers played solid defense at the end of the season and rank 14th in the league defending the pass and 23rd defending the run.

Seattle only allowed nine points in their loss to the Eagles last week, but that was facing 40-year-old backup quarterback Josh McCown. Overall, the Seahawks only rank 27th in the league in pass defense and 22nd in run defense.
