The Eagles had another strong push at the end of the season to make the playoffs and as the NFC East champion they host the Seattle Seahawks where they are the home underdog.

The Eagles won their last four games of the NFL season and while all the teams were below .500 they are the NFC East winners. Carson Wentz played great down the stretch and the defense gave up only 26 points in their last two games.

The Seahawks did not end the season well losing three of their last four games including their last two. In their last game at home they lost to the San Francisco 49ers 26-21, which cost them the NFC West title.

Seattle has had their issues on defense on the season, but they played great D in their 17-9 win over the Eagles in Philadelphia several weeks back.

On the season the Eagles are 5-3 at home and the Seahawks are 7-1 on the road. While Seattle only lost one road game this season it was their last one.

The Seahawks have covered the spread in their last five games facing the Eagles.

In their season finale the Seahawks suffered a costly 26-21 loss to the San Francisco 49ers. The big question for them entering the playoffs is their running game since they lost Chris Carson for the season. In the loss to the 49ers Travis Homer rushed for 62 yards and the recently signed Beast Mode Marshawn Lynch rushed for 34 yards, only averaging 2.8 yards per carry.

Russell Wilson passed for 233 yards with two touchdowns and no interceptions in the loss to the 49ers. He has five touchdowns and no picks in his last three games and in the earlier season win over the Eagles he passed for 200 yards with a score and a pick.

In the win over the Eagles in November the Seahawks rushed for 174 yards with 129 coming from Rashaad Penny, who is one of three RB for Seattle that are on IR and out for the season.

The Eagles’ defence has played well in the last couple of weeks and on the season they rank 19th in the league against the pass and third against the run.

The Eagles clinched the NFC East title in their last game with a 34-17 win over the New York Giants. Wentz passed for 289 yards with a touchdown and no picks and Boston Scott and Miles Sanders combined for 104 rushing yards.

Wentz has seven touchdowns and no interceptions in the Eagles four-game win streak, but was picked off twice in the earlier loss to the Seahawks.

The Eagles still have a banged up team, especially at the WR position, but Wentz has led the team to four straight wins. He has a ton of pressure on him in this game and can he step up at home in the playoffs, which he has not been able to do in the last couple of seasons being injured and watching Nick Foles lead the team?

This season the Seattle defense ranks only 27th in the league against the pass and 22nd against the pass.
