Back in September, it looked as though Juventus (4-3-4) had turned a corner. The club compiled an 8-2-0 record across all forms of competition including a 4-2-0 unbeaten streak in Serie A play. But over the club’s last two matches, Juventus has picked up outright 2-1 losses at home against Sassuolo and on the road against Hellas Verona.

Can Juventus get back on track this Saturday at home hosting Fiorentina? Fiorentina (6-0-5) has won its last two home games with matching 3-0 scores but has lost its last two road games by matching 1-0 scores. Juventus is 6-1-1 in its last eight matches against Fiorentina overall and 6-0-1 in its last seven home games against them. This feels like the perfect opportunity for Juventus to get back in form, so we’ll take a shot on the moneyline here.

Napoli vs Hellas Verona

Napoli (10-1-0) has been sensational in the defensive zone this season with only three goals conceded across 11 matches. The club’s elite defense will be put to the test this Sunday with Hellas Verona (4-3-4) coming to town. Verona ranks third in goals scored this season with 24 as Giovanni Simeone leads the way with eight.

The reason Hellas Verona’s record isn’t better is its dreadful defense, which has conceded 20 goals through the club’s first 11 games. The total is set at three goals in this matchup, and we like this one to go OVER that posted total. Napoli’s offense is fourth best in Serie A with 23 goals this season and should have no trouble scoring two or three goals on Sunday. Napoli may send the total over itself, but a Verona goal would all but lock it up.

AC Milan vs Inter Milan

The stakes are often high in the Milan Derby, and the first meeting between these two clubs in 2021-22 is no exception with both of them currently sitting in the top three on the Serie A table. AC Milan (10-1-0) is tied for first place with Napoli while Inter Milan (7-3-1) sits seven points back on the leaders. Milan has the third best goal differential in Serie A with 25 goals for and 10 against (+15) and Inter ranks second with 28 goals for and 12 conceded (+16).

Oddsmakers have made Inter Milan the favorite in this matchup at +130, with AC Milan going off at +205 and draw odds paying +280. While this isn’t entirely unreasonable given Inter’s talent level, it is a bit surprising given how good AC Milan has been. Milan has reeled off seven straight wins since playing to a road draw against Juventus and has outscored its opponents 12-3 at home this year. In what should be a competitive match that could easily go either way, we’ll take the big underdog odds on AC Milan in this spot.
