Serie A 2021/22 Matchweek 13 tips, top odds & value bets

After playing to a draw on the road against AC Milan, Inter Milan faces another top-tier opponent this Sunday when hosting first-placed Napoli in Matchweek 13 of the 2021/22 Serie A season. We’ve got a play in that matchup as well as picks in the Atalanta vs Spezia and Fiorentina vs AC Milan games in this weekend’s Serie A soccer betting tips.

Atalanta vs Spezia

Atalanta (6-4-2) is undefeated over its last five matches, going 3-2-0 over that stretch. Seven of the club’s last eight games have produced at least three goals, with five of those matches tallying four goals or more. Spezia (3-2-7) has also trended towards high scores this season due to the 26 goals it has conceded across 12 matches. Three or more goals have been scored in nine of those 12 games.

The total for this matchup is set at a lofty 3.5 goals. While a 2-1 Atalanta win is a very realistic outcome and one that would go under the posted total, plenty of other likely scores including 3-1, 4-1, and 4-2 would all send the total OVER. We’ll take the high side in a game that should have plenty of quality scoring chances in it.

Fiorentina vs AC Milan

Fiorentina (6-0-6) fell to 2-0-3 over its last five games with a 1-0 road loss to Juventus before the international break. With six wins and six losses, Fiorentina has a respectable 18 points through 12 games, but the club has fallen short in games against top-tier opponents with a 3-1 loss to Inter Milan and a 2-1 loss to Napoli so far this season.

Undefeated AC Milan (10-2-0) would obviously qualify as a top-tier team. Fresh off of a hard-fought draw against Inter, Milan should be ready to get back in the win column here against an opponent that isn’t quite ready to make a jump from the middle of the pack.

Inter Milan vs Napoli

Inter Milan (7-4-1) enters this Sunday’s matchup against Napoli with the highest scoring offense in Serie A with 29 goals. Napoli (10-2-0) has far and away the best defensive squad in the league with only four goals conceded through the club’s first 12 games. Something has to give in this exciting matchup between two top-three clubs.

We lean towards Napoli here. The margins are razor close; Napoli has been the better team this season, but Internazionale isn’t far off and will have home field advantage in this one. But the betting odds do not accurately reflect how tough this one is to call, making Inter a +125 favorite and Napoli a +230 underdog. That’s just way too good of a price to pass up on for a club as strong as Napoli.
