The Milan Derby will take center stage in Serie A Matchweek 24 as first-placed Inter Milan hosts third-placed AC Milan in an important battle for both rivals. We’ve got a play in that match as well as picks in the Venezia vs Napoli and Juventus vs Hellas Verona matches in this weekend’s Serie A soccer betting picks.

Inter Milan vs AC Milan

Inter Milan (16-5-1) extended its current unbeaten streak to 14 games in a 2-1 win at home over Venezia prior to the break. Internazionale is now 11-3-0 over its last 14 matches and 9-1-0 over its last 10 matches. One of the club’s five draws this season came on the road against AC Milan in the last Milan Derby in November.

AC Milan (15-4-4) entered the break on an 0-1-1 skid with a 2-1 home loss to Spezia followed by a 0-0 draw against Juventus. Since opening the year with a 10-1-0 record, Milan has been far less dominant since November with a 5-3-4 record over its last 12 matches. Inter Milan was 6-0-1 in its previous seven games against AC Milan prior to this season’s draw, and the current form of these two clubs makes Internazionale the pretty clear choice. It’s rare to a get a club of this caliber at home for better than -150 on the betting board.

Venezia vs Napoli

The last Serie A league break in late December proved to be just what Napoli (15-4-4) opened. They opened the 2021-22 season with a 10-2-0 record before slumping through November and December with a 2-1-4 record. The week off gave Napoli a chance to regroup, and the club earned a point in a 1-1 draw at Juventus and has won three straight matches since then.

Venezia (4-6-12) hasn’t won since November 21 and is 0-3-6 over its last nine matches. The team lost its first match of the season 2-0 to Napoli, and there isn’t much reason to expect a much better result this time around. Napoli has outscored its last three opponents seven to one and should be able to win this one by two or more goals to cover the spread on the two-way line.

Juventus vs Hellas Verona

Juventus (12-6-5) continues to play well after its disappointing 4-3-4 start to the season, compiling an 8-3-1 record since then that includes a current nine-game unbeaten streak of 6-3-0. The club has held its opponents scoreless in eight of its last 12 matches, most recently playing A.C. Milan to a 0-0 draw on the road.

Hellas Verona (9-6-8) has won each of its last two matches since going just 1-1-3 over its previous five games. Verona has also improved its road play in recent months with a 3-0-1 record in its last four matches away from home after opening the season with a 0-4-3 road record. We’re going to take a stab on the draw odds here. Verona defeated Juventus 2-1 earlier this season at home, and while Juventus is in much better form now than it was then, that result and Verona’s recent road success suggest that this shouldn’t be an easy victory for Juventus. Juventus wins in this spot more often than not, but the price is right to predict a draw.
