Napoli will look to keep its perfect record intact this Sunday in Serie A Matchweek 8 when it plays host to Torino. We’ve got a play in that game circled along with picks in Lazio vs Inter Milan and Juventus vs Roma in this week’s Serie A soccer betting predictions.

Lazio vs Inter Milan

Inter Milan (5-2-0) is undefeated this season heading into this Saturday’s match on the road against Lazio (3-2-2). The Roman side finished sixth on the Serie A table in 2020-21 with a record of 21-5-12 and is right back in that position so far in 2021-22 at 3-2-2. These two clubs have the top three goalscorers in the league, with Inter’s Edin Džeko and Lazio’s Ciro Immobile tied on six goals and Inter’s Lautaro Martínez in third place with five.

While both of these clubs have been great on offense, Internazionale has been better on defense with only eight goals conceded in seven matches compared to the 12 goals conceded by Lazio. Still, both of these defenses will have their hands full against these two high-powered attacks. These two clubs have averaged a total of three goals per game in their last three matches; look for that high-scoring trend to continue in this one.

Napoli vs Torino

Napoli (7-0-0) is the only team in Serie A with a perfect record, and that trend will likely continue here. The first-place club ranks second in Serie A in goals scored with 18 and first in goals conceded with only three in 2021-22. Napoli’s defense has produced four clean sheets thus far.

Torino (2-2-3) has scored only nine goals this season, and it’s hard to imagine this offense breaking through for a goal on the road against Napoli. Bettors should feel confident laying the -240 on Napoli to win here, but that’s a pretty chalky price. Torino’s defense has also been outstanding with only seven goals allowed this season and will be comfortable playing in a tight, conservative style. Juventus vs AS Roma

This is perhaps the most highly anticipated game of the weekend. Juventus (3-2-2) has shaken off a slow 0-2-2 start to win each of its last three league matches. AS Roma (5-0-2), meanwhile, is just 2-0-2 since opening the season on a 3-0 run. These two clubs were heading in different directions before last weekend’s break.

We think these trends will continue on Sunday. Juventus is playing with a ton of confidence coming into this match on a nice winning streak that includes a 1-0 win over Chelsea in UEFA Champions League play. Look for Juve to keep making its climb up the Serie A table with another win at home against AS Roma.
