Super Bowl LVI odds: Chiefs & Rams favorites to meet in LA

Super Bowl 2022

The Super Bowl is just three weeks away and is now narrowed down to only four teams. Let’s take a look at the latest Super Bowl odds for the remaining contenders.

Kansas City Chiefs

+125 @ Bovada

The Chiefs walked it off in an overtime thriller against the Buffalo Bills on Sunday night. Patrick Mahomes put on a clinic as he passed for 378 yards with three touchdown passes to lead the league’s most potent offense to their third AFC Championship Game in as many years.

The Chiefs looked average in the first half of the year, the worst they have looked in the Mahomes era. The defense was consistently being gashed for big play after big play and their dynamic offense was underwhelming. As we sit today, the Chiefs look as lethal as ever and are Super Bowl betting favorites for good reason. They figured out the defense and their offense – including Travis Kelce, Clyde Edwards-Elaire, Tyreek Hill and a slew of other receivers – look to be playing their best football at the most important time of the season.

Los Angeles Rams

+210 @ Bovada

Speak of a team playing their best football when it matters, the Rams are coming off a walk-off field goal to beat the defending Super Bowl champions. The Rams managed to put up 30 points against one of the better defenses in all of football. When you sit down to look at the team, there isn’t really one spot that stands out as especially weak. They have a top offense led by Cooper Kupp, who took home the triple crown among receivers this year. Kupp’s Randy Moss-like season was partly due to the offseason addition of quarterback Matt Stafford, who looks rejuvenated in LA.

The Rams defense is no joke either; they possess perhaps the best two defensive players in all of football in Aaron Donald and Jalen Ramsey and have a future hall-of-famer in Von Miller coming off the edge. The Rams are loaded and led by one of the best coaches in the NFL in Sean McVay, who already has a Super Bowl appearance under his belt. The Rams at +210 to win the Super Bowl might be the best NFL betting play on the board right now.

San Fransisco 49ers

+450 @ Bovada

Every time you doubt the 49ers and Jimmy Garoppolo, they manage to pull out a win. The Niners drafted quarterback Trey Lance with the third overall pick in this past NFL Draft to replace Garoppolo, but ‘Jimmy G’ has not made this an easy decision for the 49ers front office. He handled the move with as much class as can possibly be shown and has taken Lance under his wing at every turn. The 49ers are putting Garoppolo to the test, but he just keeps winning.

After being huge underdogs on the road against both the Cowboys and the Packers, it was the 49ers who prevailed. The wide-receiver/running-back hybrid Deebo Samuel has been the change that the Niners needed this season, as they started to roll as Samuel started to roll. He is perhaps the most interesting player in the entire NFL and is doing something that not many players in history have been able to do.

The 49ers are an extremely interesting team thanks to their stellar defensive line and their offense getting the job done game after game. They’re surely going to have a tough task this weekend against the LA Rams, but it’s not the first time they’ve been doubted. If there is one team that can rise to the occasion yet again, it’s probably the 49ers.

Cincinnati Bengals

+800 @ Bovada

What else can you say about Joe Burrow and the Cincinnati Bengals other than ‘wow’? The Bengals came out of nowhere this season after being the worst team in the NFL two years ago and finishing last year with an abysmal 4-11-1 record. When Burrow suffered a scary ACL tear against the Washington Football Team, his future – as well as the Bengals’ future – looked uncertain. With the fifth overall pick in last year’s draft, the team picked up Jamarr Chase in a move that was met with a ton of controversy. They had just lost their star quarterback to an ACL injury because of their offensive line deficiencies and went with a receiver with the fifth pick in the draft?

Safe to say the move worked out, as the Burrow-Chase connection from LSU has been just as deadly in the NFL this season. Chase has 1,455 receiving yards this year with 13 touchdowns, including a game in which he had 266 yards receiving – a record for a rookie receiver. Chase is the front-runner for the NFL Rookie of the Year as he along with Burrow have completely changed the narrative around Cincinnati. T

he Bengals took down the Las Vegas Raiders in Wildcard Weekend and then proceeded to upset the top-seeded Tennessee Titans last weekend. Similar to the 49ers, people keep doubting the Bengals and they keep winning. They’ll take on the Kansas City Chiefs this weekend in a rematch of their Week 16 matchup, a game where the Bengals clinched the AFC North by beating the Chiefs 34-31.

Who will play in the 2022 Super Bowl?

The NFL Playoffs are where careers are made, and we’re seeing multiple instances of that right now among the four teams that are left. These particular Conference Championship showdowns are between four teams playing their best football of the season. It should be fun to watch.
