BOTH Manchester United (2-1-0) and Swansea City (1-2-0) are undefeated to begin the new season.

Swansea are 6th on the league table with five points, while Man Utd. are tied in 2nd place on the table with Leicester City and Liverpool. This is important match, despite being very early in the year.

The Red Devils opened the season with wins against Tottenham (1-0) and Aston Villa (1-0). However, Man Utd. had a poor nil-nil draw at Old Trafford against Newcastle last Saturday. Will the Red Devils bounce back away from home?

It won’t be easy, as Swansea are playing great football. Swansea have a home win against Newcastle (2-0), plus two away draws against Chelsea (2-2) and Sunderland (1-1). Can the Swans keep building momentum at Liberty Stadium?

There’s a reason why United aren’t odds-on to win this match. Swansea seemingly have the Red Devils number, as they won both league matches last season. Both matches were close and ended with a 2-1 scoreline.

Ki Sung-Yong scored a goal in both matches and it’ll be interesting to see if he features for the Swans. He started in the match against Chelsea to open the season, but he hasn’t been back on the pitch yet.

Wayne Rooney scored last campaign against Swansea and he’s love nothing more than a goal.

Rooney and the rest of the Red Devils attack for that matter have been struggling finding form. The new additions of Memphis Depay, Morgan Schneiderlin and Bastian Schweinsteiger haven’t contributed much of anything yet.

The only injury to talk is Phil Jones, who is still out with a blood clot. Swansea are completely healthy still, which is a good sign for the Swans. Expect to see Andre Ayew and Bafetimbi Gomis start upfront for the Swans.

The two strikers have provided all of the goal scoring for the Swans in league play – Gomis leads with three goals and Ayew has netter two goals. The midfield has been providing ample chances, though, which has helped a lot.

Jefferson Montero has started the campaign well and will look to build upon a lacklustre performance last week.

Sure, the 1X2 market offers a bigger payout for a Swansea win, but a draw wouldn’t surprise me at all.

Manchester United are one of three teams that still haven’t allowed a goal through three matches. Swansea have allowed three goals, but they have one clean sheet. The Red Devils have the talent, but still need to build chemistry.

It’s only a matter of time before Depay and Rooney start linking up, but will it be this weekend at Liberty Stadium?

Bet on Bafetimbi Gomis to Score Anytime (+250)

Man Utd. haven’t allowed a goal yet, but they’ve only kept one clean sheet against the Swans in the last seven matches.

Gomis has now scored in every match this season and at +250 (3.50), I’ll bet on that trend to continue. Gomis is a big man in the box and as long as the Swans feed him, he’s going to score a lot of goals this season.

It was tough choosing between Gomis and Ayew, as both strikers are off to a hot start.

Rooney is still waiting to score his first goal of the young campaign, but it’s not like anyone else is scoring for Man Utd. either yet. Adnan Januzaj is the only player on the Red Devils to score a goal after three matches.

You can bet on Rooney to score anytime against the Swans at +210 (3.10) odds.

There are some good prices in the anytime goalscorer market, as the bookies don’t expect many goals. I lean to the under 2.5 goals (-140), but three of the last four matches have gone over the total.

Here’s an interesting market that’s tough to predict in this match. United have been great defensively – scoring goals has been the problem. On the other hand – both teams often score when they play against each other.
