The Titans can control their playoff destiny in this season finale, as they will get the last AFC Wild Card with a win or a Pittsburgh Steelers loss. If both teams lose the Titans will still get in, but if several things happen giving Pittsburgh a better strength of victory percentage, which is very unlikely, Tennessee will be watching the playoffs from home.

The Texans captured the AFC South title in their last game, which was a 23-20 win over the Tamps Bay Buccaneers. Houston has the fourth seed but can move up to the third seed in the playoffs if they beat the Titans and the Kansas City Chiefs lose at home to the LA Chargers.

The Texans have won two in a row and four of their last five games. They will likely not have Will Fuller V (49 rec 670 receiving yards 3 TD), who suffered a groin injury in the last game and is listed as doubtful.

After winningfour in a row the Titans have lost their last two games and the first loss in that span was a 24-21 home loss to the Texans. In their last game they were on the road and lost to the New Orleans Saints 38-24.

The Texans are 5-0 ATS in their last five home games against the Titans.

Houston QB Deshawn Watson dealt with an ankle injury in the loss to Tampa Bay but should be ready to go in this game. However, this is a later game with the Chiefs playing the early game and if KC wins that one Watson may sit, as Houston cannot overtake them in the AFC.

In the Titans lost to the Saints in their last game they had more total yards (397-377) but had the game’s only turnover and they were outscored 28-14 in the 2nd half.

Ryan Tannehill passed for 272 yards with three touchdowns and no interceptions in the loss to the Saints but was sacked five times. Dion Lewis led the team with 68 yards averaging 4.5 yards per carry and WR A.J. Brown had a 49-yard scoring run on his only run of the game.

Tennessee RB Derrick Henry has the third most rushing yards in the league and missed the Saints game with a hamstring injury. He is listed as Out on Tuesday, but the Titans expect him to go in this game.

The Houston defense gave up 435 yards to the Bucs in their last game and on the season rank 30th in the league against the pass and 20th against the run.

While the Texans were outgained 435 yards to 229 yards in the win over Tampa Bay and had two turnovers they forced five turnovers. They picked off a pass as Tampa Bay was driving near the end of the game and that iced the win for Houston.

Watson was 19/32 for 184 yards with no touchdowns and was picked off once in the win over the Bucs. The team only rushed for 68 yards with Watson leading the way with 37 rushing yards while lead RB Carlos Hyde only had 27 rushing yards on 17 carries.

It remains to be seen who will play in this game, as if Kansas City losses all the starters for Houston will likely play but if KC wins Watson and a few other starters may rest.

Tennessee ranks 24th in the NFL in pass defense and 11th in run defense.

H2>Tennessee Titans vs Houston Texans NFL Prediction and Picks

BettingPlanet.com don’t see the Chargers beating the Chiefs in Kansas City and because of that Houston will be locked into the fourth seed in the AFC. Since they have nothing to play for its likely Watson and a few other guys will be sitting out. Tennessee will take advantage of that and they will win and cover the spread nabbing the last AFC playoff berth.
