Top odds, parlay picks & betting specials for NFL week 2

NFL preview

NFL parlay
IT was a week one to remember in the NFL as a number of surprise results signalled what could be a power balance shift in the NFL.

The Patriots were hammered by the Chiefs, the Dallas Cowboys defeated their much-fancied division rivals the Giants while Green Bay made a mess of the Seahawks after going scoreless in the opening half.

The other big story to come from the first week was the wrist injury to Cardinal’s running back David Johnson which will keep arguably the game’s best RB out of action for three months. The injury saw Arizona’s title odds blow out to +3000 at Bovada.lv.

While all these questions will answered in the second week, but there is money to be made nevertheless, so let’s get stuck in.

New Orleans Saints vs. New England Patriots

Sunday, September 17 from 1pm CST at Mercedes-Benz Superdome, New Orleans

Was the New England defeat to Kansas a dawn of a new era or just an aberration? While we may not get an answer this Sunday the match up against the Saints will be an interesting one regardless.

The Saints looked surprisingly good in their opening week match up against the Vikings, and had it not been for a defensive lapse in the second quarter they could have very easily won the match.

The Pats were horrible against the Chiefs, but they get a great opportunity to bounce back here and let the league know who they are dealing with. We are expecting a big game from Brandon Cooks, who is playing his former teammates for the first time since switching to New England in the last off season.

It is not often a Brady-led team loses back-to-back games and we are not expecting that on Sunday. The Pats should return to their winning ways.

New England Patriots to win – -300

Kansas City Chiefs vs. Philadelphia Eagles

Sunday, September 17 from 1pm CST at Arrowhead Stadium, Kansas City

Coming off what many pundits claimed to be one of the greatest regular season upsets of all-time, the Chiefs host the Eagles in a pivotal week two match up.

Both sides opened their accounts in winning style after the Eagles easily defeated the lacklustre Redskins last Sunday. Young QB Carson Wentz was the star for the winners after throwing for 307 passing yards and 2 touchdowns.

For the Chiefs, rookie running back Kareem Hunt announced himself a star of the league in his debut game. The 22-year-old finished with 246 total yards and three touchdowns, an NFL record in a debut.

The Chiefs look like the real-deal this season, and while the Eagles were impressive against the Redskins we still think they lack the offensive class of their Sunday counterparts.

Kansas City Chiefs to win – -250

Dallas Cowboys vs. Denver Broncos

Sunday, September 17 from 4.25pm CST at Sports Authority Field, Denver

The Cowboys travel to Denver in on Sunday afternoon as our NFL parlay rolls into Sunday afternoon.

Dallas is looking sensational this season. The big question marks around Ezekiel Elliot’s availability and Dak Prescott’s ability as the main guy were allayed in week one after both men had a profound impact in their team’s victory over the New York Giants.

Denver came away successful from week one but the team’s win over the Chargers left a lot to be desired. A vast improvement on that game is needed if the Broncos are to be a factor this season given the amount of turnovers and loose possessions they had throughout.

We are Dak believers, and the fact that Elliot will likely suit up for the 2017/18 season after facing suspension also does little to wane our confidence in the Cowboys.

We are backing Dallas to roll through Denver and take us into the final match of our parlay.

Dallas Cowboys to win – -135

LA Rams to win against Washington Redskins

Sunday, September 17 from 4.25pm CST at L. A. Memorial Coliseum, Los Angeles

The Rams and the Redskins round out our parlay this week, and we are backing the in-form LA to continue on their winning way.

The Redskins were a hype team for the team at Betting Planet in the off-season, but their opening week loss to the Eagles reminded us why that was a foolish idea. The disappointing showing saw Washington’s odds for this season’s Super Bowl title blow out to +6600.

The Rams did what they had to in their first game against an injury-hit Colts team without star quarterback Andrew Luck. They will face a much sterner test this week but their powerful scoring ability from both defense – which scored an incredible 16 points – and offense is formidable.

We are backing the Rams to go 2-0 for the first time ever since moving to LA, which will deliver us a winning parlay in the process.
LA Rams to win – -145
