Spurs vs Liverpool EPL betting preview

Liverpool’s pursuit of their first-ever English Premier League crown continues this weekend when the Reds travel to the nation’s capital for a mouthwatering clash with Tottenham Hotspur.

The encounter, scheduled to kick off at 5:30pm on Saturday evening, could see Jurgen Klopp’s side stretch their lead at the top of the Premier League standings to 16 points should they emerge with a win.

Recently crowned the world champions by FIFA following their conquest in Qatar, the Reds secured passage into the fourth round of the FA Cup courtesy of Sunday’s 1-0 win over their Merseyside adversaries Everton.

With an impressive 19 wins from a possible 20 in the EPL this season, Liverpool’s tally of 58 points puts them 13 points above second-placed Leicester City and 14 points ahead of Manchester City in third.

Whereas the Reds have wreaked havoc at home and abroad, Tottenham Hotspur have not enjoyed the same fortune this season.

Spurs are still struggling to find their rhythm under Jose Mourinho after their mid-season managerial change, with last weekend’s 1-1 draw with Championship side Middlesbrough in the FA Cup forcing them to settle for a replay that doesn’t help their already crammed schedule.

Having felt the effects of a scorching run of games during the festive season, Tottenham have registered just one win in their last four league games and sit sixth on the table on 30 points – a whopping 28 points adrift of leaders Liverpool.

Sadio Mane goalscorer odds and specials

• Mane to score anytime – +120 at Bovada
• Mane to score/Liverpool to win – +170 at Bovada

Sadio Mane has scored 13 goals in all competitions for Liverpool this season and ranks second only to Mohamed Salah, who has found the back of the net 14 times across the board.

With a healthy competition existing between two forwards who were joint-winners of the EPL Golden Boot last season, it’s no surprise that the African stars are always attempting to outdo one another.

Mane is currently the man among the goals with two from his last two outings in the EPL. An unused substitute for Sunday’s FA Cup triumph, the 27-year-old Senegal international stands a good chance of striking the back of the net against Spurs this weekend.

Spurs vs Liverpool EPL betting predictions

Liverpool are without question the most dominant club in Europe at the moment. Without a defeat in the league in over 12 months, the Reds look set to brush aside a Spurs outfit who have already lost seven times in the league this season.

Prediction: Liverpool to win both halves – +400 at Bovada
