UFC Fight Night 182 main card betting preview

The main event of UFC Fight Night 182 will be an exciting matchup between two veterans as Thiago Santos takes on Glover Teixeira. But before that headliner takes place, these four fights fill out the card in Las Vegas, Nevada this Saturday night.

Tanner Boser (-305) vs Andrei Arlovski (+255)

In the co-main event, Tanner Boser (19-6-0) will get a test against former UFC Heavyweight Champion Andrei Arlovski. Arlovski is just 4-9 over his last 13 fights, but two of his last three fights have been decision wins, most recently defeating Philipe Lins at UFC Fight Night 171 in May. Boser is 7-2-1 over his last 10 fights with a 3-1 record in the UFC that includes back-to-back wins in 2020 over Lins and Raphael Pessoa.

At this point in his career, Arlovski is a gatekeeper in the heavyweight division that can test whether or not fighters are ready to step up in competition. Boser has certainly looked the party of a contender this year, and a win on Saturday should solidify his status as one.

Raoni Barcelos (-365) vs Khalid Taha (+290)

Raoni Barcelos (15-1-0) has won each of his last eight fights including a 4-0 start to his UFC career. He’ll look to keep things going this Saturday against Khalid Tate (13-2-0), who’s last win over Bruno Silva was overturned after a positive drug test. Both of these fighters will be making their first appearance of 2020, so it’s hard to guess who will be in better form; but in what should be a fun match between two high-octane strikers, look for Barcelos to extend his winning streak with his quick hands.

Ian Heinisch (-110) vs Brendan Allen (-110)

Brendan Allen (15-3-0) has won seven straight fights including each of his first three fights in the UFC. Ian Heinisch (14-3-0) lost back-to-back fights in 2019 before bouncing back with a win over Gerald Meerschaert this year with a first round TKO at UFC 250. Heinisch’s power was on display in his last bout and another knockout win wouldn’t be the most shocking result in the world, but Allen is fighting so well right now and should have the advantage on the mat when he can get the fight there. Look for the 24-year-old to get the job done to extend his winning streak.

Xiaonan Yan (-155) vs Claudia Gadelha (+135)

Since suffering her first professional loss all the way back in 2010, Xiaonan Yan (12-1-0) is a perfect 10-0 with five straight impressive decision wins in the UFC. Claudia Gadelha (18-4-0) has shaken off a 4-4 run in her previous eight fights to go 2-0 in her last two bouts. Yan’s low fight output has left her flying under the radar in the UFC a bit, but a convincing win over a talented strawweight like Gadelha could move her into the top five in the division’s rankings.
