Alex Caceres (20-13-0) came up large in his most recent fight when he knocked out Julian Erosa despite being the underdog with most UFC betting sites. Caceres has endured some rough patches in his professional career but has built a 6-1 record of late after tempering his enthusiasm and fine-tuning some of the weaknesses in his game. He used to get a little wild and sloppy during exchanges but is a gifted athlete who has the tools to beat anyone when fully focussed.
Daniel Pineda (28-14-0) has put together a strange run during recent months with three of his last six fights ending in no-contest outcomes. Two of the results were wins on the night for Pineda but were voided after he failed drug tests, and the third was stopped after an accidental eye-poke rendered him unable to continue. These disappointments aside, Pineda has only been beaten once in his last 10 appearances, by Cub Swanson in 2020, and might be ready to show up.

Jared Gordon (19-6-0) is another fighter who has had a strange run of results in recent times. His last fight ended after a clash of heads with Bobby Greene rendered Gordon unconscious. Prior to that, he was robbed when the judges awarded the latest hype-man Paddy Pimblett the win in controversial fashion, so it is hard to assess how Gordon is really travelling. His career wins have traditionally come via decision, so the Floridian leaves himself open to the whims of the judges.
Jim Miller (35-17-0) is an MMA veteran who first stepped into the UFC octagon back in 2008 and has enjoyed a long run in the premier promotion. Miller is 4-4 in recent times and the 39-year-old shows no obvious signs of slowing down. He has posted 19 submission wins as a professional and holds a black belt in BJJ. At some point the training grind will get the better of Miller, but until then we can enjoy his artistry.
Jim Miller to win
Tim Elliott v Victor Altamirano

Lee’s Summit, Missouri | Fighting out of | Fort Worth, Texas |
Tim Elliott (19-12-1) has shared the cage with some of the biggest names in MMA, including Demetrious Johnson and Deiveson Figueiredo. His recent form looks a little patchy, however, as he is 3-4 since 2019. He is susceptible to submission and has been choked out 10 times since making his pro debut back in 2009. Elliot will be desperate to keep the fight upright where he can work his striking combinations.
Victor Altamirano (12-2-0) is a newcomer to the UFC who earned his contract via Dana White’s Contender Series in 2021. He has since fought on three occasions with two wins and a loss to show for his efforts. The Mexican will enjoy a four-inch reach advantage here and has early-career form to suggest he may be an effective BJJ grappler. If Altamirano can establish a stiff jab from long range, this should present takedown opportunities and submission openings.
Victor Altamirano to win
Ketlen Souza v Karine Silva

Ketlen Souza (13-3-0) makes her UFC debut here after stringing together five straight wins with other promotions. The Brazilian throws heavy hands and has recorded eight knockout victories. She produces a solid striking output and has outworked her two most recent opponents to score decision wins. This fight represents a steep rise in class, and it remains to be seen if Souza can handle the pressure of the big stage. She looks like a ready-made fighter but has drawn a tough assignment here.
Karine Silva (15-4-0) is on a six-fight win streak, all coming via early stoppage. She impressed the boss on Dana White’s Contender Series with a second-round guillotine win and kept up the good work at her UFC debut with another submission victory. The Brazilian also has nine knockout wins on her resume and might be a name to watch at 125 pounds as she gets more accustomed to the level of competition.
