The Warriors lead the series 1-0
The Warriors got down to business in Game 1 beating the Rockets 119-106 to take a 1-0 series lead and they also now home court advantage in this all-important NBA playoffs series.
In Game 1 the Warriors shot a legit 52.4% from the floor and a 3-pt FG% of 39.4% and the Rockets shot 45.9% and 35.1% from beyond the 3-pt arc. The Rockets had trouble handling the rock in the game with 16 turnovers while the Warriors only had nine.
While Steph Curry went for a quiet 18 points in Game 1 Golden State was led by the duo of Klay Thomson and Kevin Durant, who combined for 65 points. Both shot at least 50% from the floor and they combined to knock down nine of their 24 3-pointers.
James Harden had a big Game 1 going for 41 points and Chris Paul chimed in with 23 points and also had 11 rebounds. Houston could use some help on the inside, as in Game 1 Clint Capela was the only frontcourt player that went for double figures with 12 points.
In Game 1 The Warriors were playing their first road Game 1 since the 2014 season and after being down nine early they tied the score at the half.
The Rockets got to within four in the beginning of the 4th period, but then gave up a 13-4 run and it was never close after that.
Houston allowed the Warriors to take too many open 3-pointers and they have to pressure Golden State on the perimeter in this game.
The Rockets beat the Warriors in two of three match-ups in the regular season and they have to get a W in Game 2 or they will really be behind the 8-ball heading to Golden State down 2-0.
This game will be a closer one, but the Warriors will not only cover the spread again, but get the W again as well – back them at Bovada.lv.
