“We are thrilled to build on our already extensive relationship with Eldorado Resorts as the sports betting industry continues to gain momentum,” said David Grolman, head of retail operations at William Hill US.
“As a growth-fueled company, they have taken monumental steps to become leaders in the gaming industry.
“These two Iowa destinations will offer sports fans amazing new opportunities to enjoy the games and teams they love in new and exciting settings.”
Both companies are particularly optimistic about the Bettendorf sportsbook, which is poised to become a hotspot for the Iowa gambling industry due to its location in the Quad Cities region on the Illinois border.
It is also in easy reach for residents of Iowa City, while the Waterloo sportsbook will service the Cedar Rapids area.
Eldorado Resorts president Anthony Carano said, “Expanding the William Hill relationship to include Iowa offers our loyal customers a full complement of gaming action and plays an important role in providing guests the unbelievable experience they have come to expect from Eldorado Resorts.”
Iowa is one of several midwestern states to join the sports betting movement this year, with Illinois and Indiana also taking big strides towards legalisation.
