2019 French Open betting – Round 2 odds and multi tips

See our betting tips and parlay picks for Wednesday’s singles matches at the 2019 French Open.

French Open tennis odds

As usual, the first few days of the 2019 French Open have thrown up one or two surprises.

Angelique Kerber and Caroline Wozniacki are both out of the women’s draw, while Garbine Muguruza and Serena Williams were forced to fight back from a set down in the first round.

The likes of Simona Halep and Naomi Osaka are yet to play, so it remains to be seen how many of the title fancies reach the second round.

The men’s draw is still fully loaded, with Novak Djokovic, Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal all breezing through their opening matches in straight sets.

Dominic Thiem had a minor scare against the unseeded Tommy Paul, but last year’s runner-up was good enough to get it done in four sets.

With most of the big names alive and kicking, Wednesday’s matches offers plenty of fodder for tennis betting enthusiasts.

    Grigor Dimitrov vs Marin Cilic

    Dimitrov +175 Cilic -227.27

A couple of years ago, this matchup would have been worthy of a grand slam final. But Dimitrov is not quite at the top of his game these days, so it is difficult to justify backing an upset here – especially when Cilic has a 4-1 head-to-head advantage.

    Leonardo Mayer vs Diego Schwartzman

    Mayer +220 Schwartzman -277.78

These two Argentine hustlers both do their best work on the red stuff, but one has a far superior record in major championships than the other. Schwartzman has reached the quarters at Roland Garros before and could do it again if a few things fall his way.

    Veronika Kudermetova vs Zarina Diyas

    Kudermetova -175.44 Ziyas +137

Kudermetova was one of the standout performers in the first round, coming back from a set down to eliminate a major winner in Wozniacki. Diyas had a much easier time against Audrey Albie and might struggle to match her opponent’s intensity as a result.

    Petra Martic vs Kristina Mladenovic

    Martic -138.89 Mladenovic +110

These two have a habit of going to three sets when they face each other on tour. That is what happened at Istanbul earlier this year, when Martic won in a tiebreak, but Mladenovic has shown enough in recent weeks to suggest she is a real chance here.
