NFL Week 8 tips – free parlay & teaser tips for every match
As we approach the halfway mark of the 2018/19 NFL season, the race to the playoffs has well and truly heated up.
After seven weeks of play, the LA Rams are still unbeaten and have a host of challengers vying for key positions on the standings table.
Coming into week eight, our resident tipster has compiled his picks for every game on the weekend.
Miami Dolphins vs. Houston Texans (-7.5) O/U 44.5
This Thursday night primetime game is one between a couple of teams heading in different directions. The Texas have won four straight after losing their first three games of the season and after a solid start the Dolphins have lost three of their last four games. Houston’s defense has played great in their last three games and at home they will win and cover facing Miami.
Philadelphia Eagles (-3) vs. Jacksonville Jaguars O/U 42
The Eagles are coming off a loss, which dropped the defending champions below .500. However, they are still the betting favorite facing a reeling Jaguars team that has lost three in a row. The Jags’ have really fallen off the cliff after a promising start that included a win over the New England Patriots. The Eagles will win and cover facing a Jacksonville team that has been outscored 90-21 in their last three games.
Washington Redskins (-1) vs. New York Giants O/U 42
The Redskins have won two in a row and they are all-alone atop the NFC East. They head to the Big Apple to face a reeling Giants team that has lost four in a row. The Giants only rank 27th in the league in points per game and tied for 25th in points against per game. Washington will win and cover in this NFC East matchup.
Seattle Seahawks vs. Detroit Lions (-3) O/U 49.5
Both of these teams are 3-3 and need a win to stay in their respective divisions. On top of that both of these teams have won three of their last four games. Matthew Stafford has played well in the last couple of games and will lead the Lions to a win, and they will cover, in this home game.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers vs. Cincinnati Bengals (-4.5) O/U 54
The Buccaneers snapped their three-game losing streak in their last game. While they rank first in the league in passing yards per game and eighth in points per game they rank 29th in rushing yards per game and dead last in points allowed. The Bengals have lost two straight, but back home and with their solid offense they will win and cover facing Tampa Bay.
New York Jets vs. Chicago Bears (-7) O/U 45.5
The Jets had won two in a row before their last game where they were blown out and had a few turnovers. The Bears have lost two in a row and while the strength of the team is their defense they have allowed 31 points and 38 points, respectively, However, they will turn things around on defense in this non-conference affair and at least cover the spread in what will be a close game.
Denver Broncos vs. Kansas City Chiefs (-10) O/U 55
The Broncos snapped their four-game losing streak in their last game, but it came facing the one win Arizona Cardinals. The Chiefs throttled the Bengals 45-10 in their last game after their first loss of the season and with all the weapons they have on offense they will win at home and cover in this AFC West encounter.
Baltimore Ravens (-2) vs. Carolina Panthers O/U 43
The Ravens are coming off a tough one-point loss to the New Orleans Saints where they missed a point after that would have sent the game to overtime. They have the league’s top-ranked defense and face a Panthers’ team that has won three of their last four games. Carolina will play a close one and at least cover the spread at home.
Cleveland Browns vs. Pittsburgh Steelers (-8) 51
This is the second game of the season between these AFC North rivals after the first game in Cleveland ended in a tie. Pittsburgh has won two in a row and they are coming off a bye and will win and cover in this game.
Indianapolis Colts (-3) vs. Oakland Raiders O/U 49.5
While the Colts only have two wins they are coming off a blowout win in their last game and face a reeling Raiders tea. Oakland only has one win, quarterback Derek Carr has struggled under center, and there have been reports he has lost the confidence of his team. On top of that they traded their best wide receiver this last week. Indy will win and cover continuing the spiral of the Raiders season.
Green Bay Packers vs. L.A. Rams (-9.5) O/U 56.5
The Rams are the line unbeaten team in the league and they host the Packers, who are coming off a bye. Aaron Rodgers has not looked great this season, but had a great game and will have a great one in this one. While the Rams are stacked on both sides of the ball Rodgers will keep it close with his arm and Green Bay will cover.
San Francisco 49ers vs. Arizona Cardinals (-1) O/U 43
The 49ers are coming off a blowout loss and they have lost five in a row. Still, they are the pick in this game facing a Cardinals’ team that also only has one win, but is the 2nd lowest scoring team in the league. Take San Fran to cover in this NFC West game.
New Orleans Saints vs. Minnesota Vikings PICK O/U 52
This is a rematch of a game from last season’s playoffs where the Vikings won, but the Saints covered. That will be the case in this game as well between both teams that are playing well as of late. Take New Orleans to cover.
New England Patriots (-14) vs. Buffalo Bills O/U 44
The Patriots have won four in a row and they are big road favorites facing a Bills’ team that has lost two in a row and was blown out in their last game. This Monday Night matchup will get ugly, as the Pats will win and cover against the Bills, who have major quarterback issues and only has two wins on the season.
