After an exciting weekend of Premier League fixtures, there is no time to wait as we return with a full slate of midweek matches. Below are our free EPL betting predictions for Matchweek 31 of the 2023/24 Premier League season.
Newcastle United v Everton
Tuesday, April 2 – 7:30pm GMT – St James’ Park
After securing a 4-3 comeback win over West Ham last Saturday, Newcastle United sit just five points behind Manchester United in the chase for a top-six spot. They come in as favourites with EPL bookmakers for their clash with Everton, who are winless in their past 12 matches. Unbeaten in their past four at home, Newcastle offer great value for the victory.
Newcastle to win
Nottingham Forest v Fulham
Tuesday, April 2 – 7:30pm GMT – The City Ground
Sitting just outside the relegation zone on goal difference, the pressure is rising on Nottingham Forest. With just one win from their past 10 matches, they face a Fulham outfit that will be vulnerable after drawing 3-3 with the last-placed Sheffield United last Saturday. Look towards the scoring markets in this one, as Fulham have gone over the total goals line in each of their past eight matches.
Over 2.5 goals
Bournemouth v Crystal Palace
Tuesday, April 2 – 7:45pm GMT – Vitality Stadium
Unbeaten in their past four, Bournemouth are strong favourites with top soccer bookmakers for their clash with Crystal Palace. After draws with relegation contenders Luton Town and Nottingham Forest, there are major concerns around Palace. The Cherries won the reverse fixture 2-0 on the road and should be good enough to complete the double at home.
Bournemouth to win
Burnley v Wolverhampton Wanderers
Tuesday, April 2 – 7:45pm GMT – Turf Moor
After drawing 2-2 draw with Chelsea last Saturday, Burnley have now gone three matches unbeaten for the first time this season. Still needing plenty go right if they wish to avoid relegation, they welcome a Wolves side that sits 10th after two straight losses on the road. Although there are some concerns around the visitors, they offer great value against the 19th-placed side.
Wolves to win
West Ham United v Tottenham Hotspur
Tuesday, April 2 – 8:15pm GMT – London Stadium
After surviving an almighty scare against Luton Town last Saturday, Tottenham will have to put in a much better performance for their derby date with West Ham. As these two sides have regularly been involved in high-scoring thrillers this season, this match is set to be an end-to-end affair. With plenty of goals expected, Spurs captain Son Heung-min should add to his team-high tally of 15 for the campaign.
Son Heung-min anytime goalscorer
Arsenal v Luton Town
Wednesday, April 3 – 7:30pm GMT – Emirates Stadium
Dropping down to second after their draw with Manchester City, Arsenal should return to winning ways when they host Luton Town. The Gunners are the top-scoring side in the Premier League, while Luton have conceded 31 goals in their past 10 matches. With three goals in his past four matches, expect Arsenal forward Kai Havertz to continue his good scoring form.
Kai Havertz anytime goalscorer
Brentford v Brighton & Hove Albion
Wednesday, April 3 – 7:30pm GMT – Gtech Community Stadium
On a run of seven matches without a win, Brentford showed major improvement last Saturday as they secured an unlikely draw with Manchester United. Facing a Brighton side that is winless on the road since November, the Bees should be confident heading into this match. Both these sides have gone over the total goals line in three of their past four matches, so expect a high-scoring clash.
Over 3.5 goals
Manchester City v Aston Villa
Wednesday, April 3 – 8:15pm GMT – Etihad Stadium
On an incredibly tough run of fixtures, Manchester City now play their third top-four side in a row as they host Aston Villa. After losing the reverse fixture, City need a much-improved effort in front of the Etihad crowd in order to keep their title hunt alive. While Pep Guardiola’s men come in as heavy favourites with top EPL betting sites, their uncharacteristically leaky defence means there is value in backing both teams to score.
Both teams to score
Liverpool v Sheffield United
Thursday, April 4 – 7:30pm GMT – Anfield
Having gone two points clear at the top of the Premier League with their win over Brighton on Sunday, Liverpool welcome the last-placed Sheffield United with an excellent chance to gain some vital goal difference. In what is expected to be a one-sided affair, Liverpool midfielder — and part-time penalty taker — Alexis Mac Allister offers great value to get on the scoresheet after netting goals in three of his past four matches.

Chelsea v Manchester United
Thursday, April 4 – 8:15pm GMT – Stamford Bridge
Sitting in sixth place with a four-point gap to the chasing pack, the pressure is on Manchester United after their disappointing 1-1 draw with Brentford last Saturday. Facing the equally disappointing Chelsea, it is a clash between two Premier League giants that are down on form. At home, the Blues come in as favourites, but given United are undefeated in their past seven meetings, this once should be a close affair.
