The 2025 Wimbledon quarter-finals take place this Tuesday and Wednesday in London. Upsets have abounded over the opening week, but will the usual names still make the final weekend? We breakdown the best tennis bets for the last eight, including a +300 punt involving a defending champion.
This season has been Iga Swiatek’s worst since ascending to world No.1 in 2022. However, the Pole has found some touch and now is a match away from a maiden Wimbledon semi-final.
Standing in her way is Liudmila Samsonova, a player she has beaten four times previously. Swiatek has dropped just one set across those meetings, and that was three years ago. Over the last three, she has conceded no more than five games.
Combine this head-to-head dominance with Swiatek’s form on the grass — she has been defending brilliantly and looks to have regained her confidence on attack — and a straight-sets victory is a safe bet with top tennis betting sites.
Taylor Fritz began his Wimbledon campaign with back-to-back five-set victories, and we expect he will have another lengthy battle with Karen Khachanov in Tuesday’s quarter-final.
Fritz has already played five tiebreakers this tournament and has been dominant behind his serve, dropping just four service games across 16 sets of tennis. Khachanov, on the other hand, is a rock-solid player whose level rarely fluctuates. The Russian has also played two five-setters already and gives away few free points.
Two players close in level, strong on serve and good from the back of the court should comfortably push this one over the 37.5-game mark. As for the winner, Fritz has shown incredible mental fortitude to navigate his challenging draw so far, and it is hard to see him letting the chance to appear in another Grand Slam semi-final go begging.
Carlos Alcaraz may well lead the Wimbledon title betting across the best online bookmakers, but the Spaniard has also dropped a set in three of his four matches so far.
There is little doubt the defending champion will be good enough to see off the wily left-handed challenge of Cameron Norrie. However, another dropped set would be no surprise, particularly given Norrie’s form and their head-to-head record.
The Brit has beaten Alcaraz twice in six tries, including their most recent clash in 2023. He is playing inspired tennis this week with the home crowd behind him and will draw on the confidence that he has gone deep at SW19 previously. Odds of
+300 for a 3-1 scoreline are too tempting to pass up.
