After 128 hopefuls took to the courts of Wimbledon 13 days ago, just two remain to contest the men’s final in London this Sunday. They just so happen to be the two best in the world, Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz, meeting for their second straight Grand Slam final.

With fine margins separating the two, we look at the top betting markets to extract value from across tennis bookmakers ahead of the 2025 Wimbledon men’s final and give our prediction.

Sinner has been a consistent force in men’s tennis, sitting atop the ATP rankings for more than a year straight now and losing just nine times since the end of 2023.

The trouble is, five of those losses came at the hands of the man who he shares a court with on Sunday. Alcaraz is the more mercurial of the two but has proven to be Sinner’s nemesis, beating him in each of their last five meetings, including last month in a five-set epic.

Alcaraz is also the more natural player on grass, having won Wimbledon twice already. He comes into this match riding a 24-match winning streak, as well as an 18-game streak on grass and a 20-game streak at Wimbledon.

However, Sinner will be fresher, having played five less set matches en route to the Wimbledon final. The Italian has the pace of ball to trouble Alcaraz, and while he has lost five in a row, four of those went to the final set.

While it feels as though Sinner is overdue a win in this head-to-head, Wimbledon is not the place for it. Alcaraz holds a big psychological edge, tonnes of momentum, and excellent variation when it comes to disrupting Sinner’s game.

We are tipping a close contest on Sunday, with Alcaraz prevailing in four or five tight sets.

The conservative bet is to simply pick Alcaraz outright at -125. For a little more return, combine this with the over 37.5-game market for +175 odds across leading bookmakers.

However, the real returns lie in a riskier bet of three tiebreaks total. Over their rivalry so far, Sinner and Alcaraz have played 14 tiebreaks, including three in their most recent match. With grass offering the best conditions to hold serve – and nothing between the best level of these two – odds of +1000 for this market look like a great punt.
