Australia v South Africa Third ODI Preview

Australia vs South Africa Match Preview

South Africa heads into Mackay on Sunday aiming for a clean sweep in the three-match ODI series against Australia.

The Proteas have completely controlled the series, backing up a 98-run win in the opener with an 84-run victory on Friday night.

Matthew Breetzke (88) and Tristan Stubbs (74) led the way with the bat, while Lungi Ngidi’s 5/42 ripped through the Aussie lineup.

Australia’s batting has been the biggest letdown. Aside from Mitchell Marsh and Josh Inglis, who’ve each topped 40 once, the rest of the order has struggled. Marnus Labuschagne and Alex Carey are both averaging in the single digits.

Expect similar playing conditions to Friday’s contest, with the pitch offering something for both batters and bowlers.

Despite trailing 0-2, Australia enters as the -188.68 favorite, while South Africa carries great underdog value at +150 with the top cricket betting sites.
